The printer people are telling me that I needed to call you guys and request for you guys to open up the incoming, the incoming ports, One, Three, Seven, One, Three, Eight, One, Six, One, and Four, Two, Seven. So we can finish the installation. And then the outgoing ports and the web service. And they've given me some numbers on all those things. Does that make any sense to what I'm saying? I'm I'm sorry. So, if they're having problems, they can't connect to it. So obviously, I guess it's not. So they're asking if I would call you, if First, they told me to call my Internet provider and the Internet provider, which is Charter or Spectrum, they said we we didn't provide the router for you. You got to call the router people. So, you're my router people. And I'm calling you. since we've got to open it up because we need the installations to finish. So, I got to call you guys. Okay? I apologize if I'm being annoying. The reason of why I'm calling you is because it says open incoming ports, 137, 138, 161, and 427.
01:00
Speaker 2
Is your printer successfully connected to your wireless network? [silence]
01:00

up the ports, the incoming and the outgoing ports and address the web services, there's some, there are four different numbers there. Does any of that make sense to you? What I'm saying? Yes. Yes, I, I just, I've spent two hours with that, with the manufacturer of my printer. I call you guys a lot for many things, but this is the first time I'm calling with a request from the printer people that to request you guys to open up the incoming and outgoing ports. I don't know what that means.
02:00
Speaker 2
Thank you, most of the time, Jennifer, it is not recommended to open up ports to connect a printer to Orleans' router, but have you tried to call your printer manufacturer? But is this your first time calling us for support? Yeah, wife.
02:00
Speaker 1
I'm just a person trying to get my printer to work. So they sent me an email to send you or, you know, they said, "during our conversation, we discussed that HP is currently aware of a small issue with some spectrum routers. They thought they were from you." I said, "no, I have a separate, I have Linksys. Those are my router people." It prevents the printer to connect correctly to your Wi-Fi networks. Let's see. The reason behind it is that those routers come from -- with some specific ports disabled by default. However, your new HP printer under the all in one subscription needs those ports to connect and communicate correctly with the HP servers. We kindly ask you to please contact your router provider so they can open the required ports on your router. Please Find below the list of ports that need to be opened and you can forward this email to them, so they can use it for reference when you contact them. But I haven't had time to figure out what your email is or how to forward that to you guys yet. So other than that, they refused to help me until I do that. So I don't know what to do. I'm kind of uh. Yeah. Yes, that's correct. That's me. That's me. Spectrum.net. Yes, that's me. That's me. Yes. No, it's never worked every time ever since I bought it. They it wouldn't work. So then I'd have to call them because they'd have to do it anyway.
03:00
Speaker 2
Okay, now let me just confirm if I am talking with Jennifer Cook and your email is trent.disney.hills.77@spectrum.net. Is the printer a newly purchased or it was working fine before.
04:00
Speaker 1
call them and they'd have to install it again and then they'd have to but they could install it. So this is probably been my 20th call. And now they're saying your internet is intermittent. And I was like, I have internet and my router is not indicating any drop of signal. The internet is fine. I don't have any internet today at all. So that's when I'm finding, that's what I have. That's all I have right now. Yeah, it's the HP... Uh huh, go ahead. I have, I have a laptop. I have a laptop and a, and an iPhone.
05:00
Speaker 2
it's an HP printer okay [silence] do you have a laptop or a computer which we can use to access the web interface? [silence] okay, can we connect your laptop to your link? [silence]
05:00
Speaker 1
okay let me go there really quick to my linxist network so i'll go here and then um let me see links list so do I go to star remote dot links this dot com is that where I go yes of course yes it's online with you and my internet provider yes um it is a Microsoft Microsoft means windows is that right right yes I just did Uh-huh
06:00
Speaker 2
network now. Now, let me just confirm. Is your laptop connected to your Linksys network now? Okay. Is that the Mac or Windows laptop? Yes. Okay. Now, open a browser, go Google. And then on the address bar, type 192.168.0.1 Yes, one nine two. Yes. Yeah. Exactly. Do you have your router password?
06:00
Speaker 1
Okay. The last time I might have changed one or something, hold on. Let me look. Okay. Is that it? So, is there, are there two routers, are there two router passwords or is it just one? Okay, okay, then I'm, this might be it. I had to change it last time I called you guys. See, oh, I can't, oh, hold on a second. Cause I can't see it. Okay, that's the, that's the new password, okay. Hold on. [KEEP_UNCERTAIN] Oh, crap. I'm not sure if I, that is different one. Okay, hold on a second. Okay. Looks like I'm in, it's the your uh page is just loading right now. Okay. Yes I'm sorry, what? Is that wrong? Yes, yeah, my phone was just disconnected So it looks like I'm Fart, I'm just trying to log in but my phone is disconnected, but Okay. Is that a different one? What is it? Is your page Okay. Your page is just loading right now. Please wait No, is is that different one? Is that what you're asking me? Is that what you're asking? I'm just trying to get my page go into the page to see what what I'm can I'm just stumped right now Very good.
08:00
Speaker 2
okay courage
09:00
Speaker 1
I have. I can't see anything. On my screen. It's just dark blue. With a line going down the middle of it. Let me turn um. Shut my shade down. There's a. A blue screen. And there's a line going down the the midpoint of the screen. Do I scroll somewhere? I see two kind of down arrows on the Linksys smart WiFi bar. The gray bar going across the top. Am I not logged in correctly? I scroll all the way down. No. I can't I can't see anything at all on the screen. It's just blue.
10:00
Speaker 2
like, okay, on the very bottom, uh, Jennifer, you can see, uh, two cups flocked, I like it, California. on the. Very bottom. You can see device list, right? Device list.
10:00
Speaker 1
It says, it's a blue screen. It says, link to this Linksys Smart Wi-Fi. But there's nothing on the screen. Oh, okay. Okay. It normally doesn't take this long to load. Is this unusual? Or does it mean I didn't put the right password in or something? How do you go back on this page? Do I just close out the page and start over? Okay. All right. So, on the.
11:00
Speaker 2
It might still loading. it's not. okay. try to go back. try to login using My router.info. Yeah. Close the page and start over.
11:00
Speaker 1
on the bar I type in one nine eight that [silence] no [silence] one nine two point 168.1.1 right? [silence] Okay, don't use 192, right? [silence] Okay. [silence] Gosh, it's still thinking. [silence] Router.info. [silence] Okay it looks like a screen is [silence]
12:00
Speaker 2
No, it's 192. But this time try to log in using my router.info. Yeah, use my router one word.info.
12:00
Speaker 1
I see a suitcase and then uh now it says link the Smart Wi-Fi sign-in is what it says. information click here is that what I'm supposed to do back to what am I in Microsoft I'm in Microsoft edge okay thanks Jeff okay I always get that Google is unsafe every time I go out there that I shouldn't be using it is that correct all right so now what you want me to type in again at the very top bar is what is hey hold on a second it's wanting me to fill something else 192.168.1.1 right okay just continue to sites okay [silence]
14:00
Speaker 2
try to go back tryies 19 to use a different is that a Google Chrome or you are on a Microsoft Edge okay try to use a different browser Google yeah try to use Google try to use a different browser one nine two yes
15:00
Speaker 1
Advanced proceed, I click on it, nothing seems to be happening. Okay, it's starting to load. I tried. I clear cache every time I I think every time I'm on a page. So anyway, now it says access router and there's a router password. Do you want me to put that in or do you want me to do something else?
16:00
Speaker 2
You can also try to clear cache. [silence] Yes. [silence] Type your router password. [silence] So are we on the Lynch's smart Wi-Fi tools now? Like you just click reset or forgot, Pastor Jennifer, if you forgot it, then proceed to create a new one.
16:00
Speaker 1
Phone. Trying to work [silence] through my problems. So [silence] I typed it in [silence] okay, it's not giving me anything else. So I'm just going to reset the password. Now I can't [silence] incorrect password. You're making attempts for, but now it's almost like the screen's locked. Okay, now it's [silence] Okay, it's resetting the screen. [silence] If only this was my day. All right. So now it says, enter recovery key from any of your nodes to unlock the admin [silence]> recovery key. Is that the right number? Double check it. What are my limits as far as how many how many digits I have to put in there?
19:00
Speaker 2
10 to 12 characters with upper case, lower case, letter, number and a special character.
20:00
Speaker 1
Type it. Okay. Where is it? I can't have the same character twice in a row. Oh, I can look at it. For heaven's sake. Can't have you. All right. [silence] You can have the same character twice in a role. Got it. Okay, okay. Let me write it down before I forget it. Um, okay, got it. Uh, Okay reset. I did press the reset button, but the admin password is still, stream is still up. Any suggestions? Excuse me? I'm not sure because I, because the only button you could push is the button underneath that said reset. And I pushed it, but the screen stayed the same and it still says create a new admin password and hint. Why, do I click it again? There's not a proceed button. It's just reset, and screen will stay the same don't click reset button again. What else? [silence] Just try just guessing my password.
21:00
Speaker 2
What do you mean for you press and hold the reset button? Did you successfully reset your admin password to logged in? Yeah, just try to create a new one and then proceed. [silence]
23:00
Speaker 1
Okay, I tried it again, I didn't want to screw anything up by clicking too many times. All right. So it's just thinking right now. Is it going to require me to sign in then again? since I reset the password. I already I reset it. Do I need to put in the password then, do I need to log in again with it? Is that what's next? I did that and I'm just waiting for the screen to load right now. So I was just asking you kind of what to
24:00
Speaker 2
I just proceed to reset your admin password. Now, um, is your just proceed to click next.
24:00
Speaker 1
So, so far I have a blank screen, so it's just loading right now. [silence] What is your question? [silence] Now it says this site cannot be reached. 192.168.1.1 took too long to respond. Then it says Error connection timed out.
25:00
Speaker 2
Are you on the Linksys smart Wi-Fi tools now? Are you on the Linksys smart Wi-Fi tools? [ silence ] Linksys smart Wi-Fi tools [ silence ] Are you on the Linksys smart Wi-Fi tools? [ silence ] Alright [ laughter ]
25:00
Speaker 1
Then it says, reload or details. I didn't lose Wi-Fi connection. So, just go ahead and reload. That's down in the basement. I'd have to go down there and look if you want me to do it. Now, I'm getting a waiting where on the screen and now it's saying fill in the password. So, that's kind of what's going on here. All right. Now I'm putting the password in. So, if this doesn't work, then I might have to go downstairs and look at the main router if there's an issue or something.
26:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, but what is the light indicator of the main router? [silence] Yes.
26:00
Speaker 1
With the. Okay, it'll, everything's on, so I'm in, what would you like for me to do finally? Sorry it took so long. Okay. Um, got it. It's loading. Okay. Hey. Okay. It's loading that. Okay, go ahead. The Wi-Fi name is SP, SS and Sam, P as in Paul, Cook/2.4.
27:00
Speaker 2
click CA and then go to Wi-Fi settings yeah go to Wi-Fi settings and then what is your Wi-Fi name for your 2.4 GHz band and what is your security mode for that
27:00
Speaker 1
It's WPA2 personal. The five. And then WPA3 mixed personal. Yes. That's what I've been, we only use that. And everyone's using that because that's what the printer uses. So, my laptop uses it. My iPhone uses it. There's a, you mean, web interface would be on my laptop.
28:00
Speaker 2
10,000 notice cookie. Okay. 5 gigahertz. Van is cook and the security mode is WPA2. Okay. SP2 cook underscore 2.4. How did you connect your HP printer, Jennifer? Do you really need to access the web interface or through an app?
28:00
Speaker 1
Laptop, I tried the laptop first, and then I tried I how do I connect it? They have an app. yes. There's an app for the HP printer. So right now, right, okay, I'd love to, but right now the printer will not connect because the printer people are telling me there's a problem with connection. And they're saying, they're telling me that about the connection with the ports. They're saying there's a port down or something. And that's why they're asking me to ask you about the ports. So I'm going to go down in the basement [silence]
29:00
Speaker 2
How did you connect your printer to your Linksys network? Okay. Try to connect your printer. Do you, try to access its settings? Maybe there's an wifi where you can select your wifi name and enter the wifi password.
29:00
Speaker 1
It's it's if you mentioned something about the port is there's there's no no I only have one and it's this brand- new printer I'm trying to get to work and yes the main node is white so I ran down in the basement to check that so that's why I cannot in the middle in the middle of setting my printer up it cannot connect so it keeps circling so that's why I've spent two hours trying to fix the problem and they're saying it's your a problem with your router they're telling me it's my router they can't do any more on their end so that's why they're having me call you. Yes. Yes, I was originally yes.
30:00
Speaker 2
but how about the other printer you have other printer right in your end try to restart your printer and try to connect it with your Linksys network to check what is the error okay but let me just ask you this one were you able to find the wifi name were you able to access the wifi settings of your printer
30:00
Speaker 1
then the printer wouldn't work this morning. And so they said, well, obviously, you must have had um an internet problem. So let's try to restart the printer. We restarted the printer twice. And it found the Wi-Fi. Everything was working. Then they said, we're going to have to reinstall the printer. So then, right in the middle of the installation, it it stopped. And it says, the HP software is setting up your printer and it just stopped there. It won't function. I can't get it to do anything. So it's not that I'm not connecting it to the Wi-Fi. It's just that there the printer people are saying go on go on. They're router. They're saying the routers it's trying it can't connect to the right router. They're telling me that.
31:00
Speaker 2
speech, output [silence]. Because, yeah, because if, yeah, because if the printer, Jennifer, doesn't work at all, which means the router itself is the one that is not working.
31:00
Speaker 1
O. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. I don't know of any, or anything. I'm sorry. Sorry? No, when you say wire it, I don't know what you mean by wire it. I plugged it into the electrical outlet, that wire. But it's Wi-Fi printer. Does it have an internet port? Okay, there's, my router is in the basement, so I can't run a wire all the way over to the router. If there is a wired connection, my I can't run it all the way down to the bot to the basement. I can't run it all the way down to the bot to the basement. I can't run it all the way down to the bot to the basement.
32:00
Speaker 2
Do you have a hotspot or a data in your end? Let's try to use a different network to check if this printer will work. Not our Linksys network. Do you have an option to wire the printer? It has an Ethernet port.
32:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] Oh, I'm on the main floor. So that's why they're calling me. I don't know what that is. Oh, what? Uh-huh. No, I don't know what a hotspot is, so I don't think I have one. Uh-huh. Okay. When I talk to you about what the printer people are asking me to ask you, does that make any sense? Mhm. Uh-huh. Okay. And I don't understand what that. Mhm. I I understand that uh-huh.
33:00
Speaker 2
[silence] [silence] Do you have Hotspot ID? [silence] Hotspot, okay. [silence] Do you have the option to restart the printer and try to connect it so that we can also verify what is the error message appears when you try to connect it with the Lin's system network? [silence] Because when you are going to open up port, it is not necessary that you are going to open up ports for a printer to connect. Because most of the printer just needs a 2.4 gigahertz band to connect. [silence] And all [silence] Yeah. I just need an error message. If it says unable to join or unable to connect. [silence]
33:00
Speaker 1
Connecting with the printer and trying to get it to reinstall, um, and set up my printer. But they got kicked off. And they couldn't reconnect. And they're helping me to get this whole printer, um, restarted. So, in the whole process, everything just locked up. So, um, but my router node didn't, never turned red during the whole thing, but they're saying there's something with the router that's preventing us from communicating with this printer. So you gotta fix that before we can rule out that it's the printer's problem. So, you know, I'm just kind of stuck holding the bag here. Um, but anyway, I'm restarting it though still. Maybe something, maybe a miracle will happen. You know, possible. Thank you for your patience with me. Yeah. I'm trying, you remember when, remember my winter was trying to be, um, how should I say this, reinitiated. So it was trying to connect with its parent.
35:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, but I just need the error message when you try to connect, [silence]
36:00
Speaker 1
they were reloading the printer, like, teaching it how to figure out who it is from the bottom up. And then it locked up. So it's in, it's not just, it doesn't connect to the Wi-Fi. If it was that easy, you know what I'm saying? I would have had, I would have fixed it shortly. But right now it's setting up my printer and it's not gonna set up my printer until it can connect to the parent. Because it can't connect to anything. That's why they're telling me that I I've got an issue with some ports or some kind of connection issue. And I talked to, with the wife. I'm not asking you to do, no, I just, I powered it off, powered it back on, and now it still says the HP software is still setting up your printer. That's what it has said for this last
37:00
Speaker 2
but were you able to do anything with your printer, Jennifer were you able to do anything? [silence] But
37:00
Speaker 1
half an hour before it couldn't connect to anything and that's where the printer people said we have to talk you got to talk to your router people because the printer cannot um they were trying to reinstall the printer you know remind it who it is connect it to its parent um I don't know the terminology of the words of the printer so that it could reinstall itself and know what to do and how to answer when I send it a print job. So in the process of trying to reinstall it locked up. So it's still locked up in the HP. Software is um it looks like software is setting up your printer.
38:00
Speaker 2
And what is the error? Because it might because it might be your printer Jennifer needs to be it needs to have a software upgrade.
38:00
Speaker 1
It's a brand new printer. I just bought it. It just bought it. But they constantly are having to set it up again. And I don't understand why. But they're saying it's because they cannot connect correctly. it's got it's got a small issue with Linksys routers that prevents the printer to connect correctly with my Wi-Fi network. That's what they're saying. And So the reason behind it is that those routers come with specific ports disabled by default. However, your new HP printer under the all in one subscription needs those ports to connect and communicate correctly with the HP servers. We kindly ask you to please contact Linksys so they can open the required ports on your router. Please find below the list of ports that need to be open. And you can forward this email to Linksys so they can, uh, use this for reference when, uh, you contact them and uh, they're saying incoming port, uh, incoming UDP ports are 137, 138, 161, 427. Uh, outgoing TCP ports are 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500. Uh, web services 80, 443, 5222 or 5223. So that doesn't mean anything to me. I'm so sorry, uh, to have to repeat it to you, but does any of that make any sense to you? [silence] Um, if, yeah, it's not installing at all. It won't install. And I will pace myself. [silence] Uh, this microphone is not M-U. Oh, no, 1020. It was inbound UDP ports are 137, 138, 161, 427. Outbound TCP ports are 137, 139, 427, 9100, 9220, 9500. Web services are 110, 443, 5222 or 5223. It's the port. You said UDP. So wouldn't it be inbound? No. [silence] The Adobe client will not install, uh, if this isn't correct. Uh, yeah. Okay, but you can forward this email to the Linksys support so they, uh, can use it to find out which ones are actually inbound and which ones are actually outbound. [silence] Thank you in the afternoon. Bye bye. [silence]
39:00
Speaker 2
yeah because actually because if the printer itself work at all then you supposed to be go to the settings but you mean that it's keep installing and then try to go to the Wi-Fi settings
40:00
Speaker 1
okay, yeah, right, yeah, yeah, okay so there it is. SP cook, slash two point four that's connected. um. it's been connected all morning. um. so. my, that's my. laptops connected to the two point four. There's no place on this printer I can check for the connection because right now it's it's locked up because it's trying to set up the printer. I cannot I don't I can't get it to say what Wi-Fi I'm connected to, but it only would connect to the Wi-Fi 2.4. that's what we have on our laptop the Wi-Fi 2.4 and on our our
41:00
Speaker 2
and shop if they have 2.4 gigahertz bandwidths broadcasting.
41:00
Speaker 1
and um so we all have to be the same Wi-Fi for the printer to connect to it. Yeah. But I I wish I could do that but then the problem I pulled out the cord from the back of the printer this time to see if maybe that might change something. But since it was in the process of trying to be set up by the manufacturer and they ran into the problem that they're blaming um the router people for you guys I don't know what to do. So I'll I'll see if by pulling out the the cord from the back uh the power cord from the back of the unit might do a hard reset. But since I was in the middle of the install, I don't know if it's going to get help me out at all. But maybe it will. [silence]
42:00
Speaker 2
Yes, but then the problem is that your printer is currently setting up. So we can proceed to connect this one to the two point four gigahertz band to check what is the error displayed.
42:00
Speaker 1
and I'll be all excited about something. I don't know. If I try that and see what's going what happens next. I'm getting some noises which sounds good. me. So what you want to do, if I can figure is this all loads correctly? Do you just want me to know, tell you is it connected to the Wi-Fi? That's what your question is. Okay. Uh-huh. If if the 2.4 gigahertz is doing what? Detecting, okay.
43:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, if the 2.4 gigahertz band is broadcasting or detecting and the Wi-Fi settings of your printer.
43:00
Speaker 1
it's, It's back to setting up my printer and it's not, It's caught in the loop of trying to be set up. So it's not connecting. You know what I'm saying? I can't confirm anything else other than the HP software is setting up your printer. So you're saying, so that I can tell the HP people, you cannot change the incoming ports.
44:00
Speaker 2
I can actually guide you on how to do that Jennifer but I cannot guarantee that it will fix the issue if your router it's of yourself it skip installing.
44:00
Speaker 1
If, if my printer keeps, of course, it's going to, I hear what you're saying, but I'd like to try everything I possibly can, because if they, if I call them back and say, you guys are refusing to do this, then they're not going to replace my printer, because they're saying you didn't even try. You know what I'm saying? So, I suppose. I don't know what it takes for me to, what is it called? If you, okay, please, if you can open the required ports on your router, and so yeah, okay. So now I've got to sign in again. Looks like it's asking email address and password. [silence]
45:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, go back to the Lynksi Smart Wi-Fi Tools on your computer. Logged in using your router password.
45:00
Speaker 1
well, it's asking for an email address now, how do I get past that? How do I do that? okay, okay. Oh, and you want me to do it on Google, too. It's got to be on Google Chrome. Okay, so then I go to 198.192.168.1. what the hell's what the hell's what's going on there? Is this this is still on other stuff? I don't know what's going on. it is. so it's still loading.
46:00
Speaker 2
Try to access it again. Close the page and then try to log in via 192.168.1.1. Yeah. [silence] [silence]
46:00
Speaker 1
[ silence ] [ silence ] Still loading. [ silence ] All right. [ silence ] So [ silence ] 1 9 2.168.1.1. So then it has dynamic login behind it. I don't know what's going on. 192.168.1.11 and get rid of the rest of the stuff? It was auto-filled. I didn't auto-fill something. There it after I type 192.168.1.1 it auto-filled slash UI slash local slash dynamic slash index.html. Auto-filled, that, all of that. Right.
47:00
Speaker 2
192.168.1.1 only, Jennifer. Do not auto click if there is additional information on it. And then delete that one, delete that extra information.
48:00
Speaker 1
You know, right now, I put in the one nine two dot one 80.1.1. I deleted out anything after that. And it's still adding in one dot zero dot nine nine dot two one six seven three eight dynamic home dot HTML.
49:00
Speaker 2
uh, so we're able to access the lingage Smart Wi-Fi tools
49:00
Speaker 1
I don't know what that is, or why that's there. And in front of it says, what? Okay. I don't know what domain means, to be honest with you. Um, do I need to close out of this? And try, okay, I'm double clicking. Uh huh. And double check it. Yes, it's PEcook with a 2.4 Gigahertz. Yep. Yes.
50:00
Speaker 2
mhm. to you, you cannot log in because you're using a domain user account. can you please try to close your windows session and then go back from the beginning? make sure your laptop is connected to your wireless network and then open a browser, google, then on the address bar, just type 192.168.1.1.
50:00
Speaker 1
So, it still fills in the rest of that information after I typed that in. I did delete it. Okay. So, I deleted all, then I pressed enter. And all it had there when I pressed enter was 192.168.1.1, and it says this site cannot be reached. Now it's timing out, because 192.168.1.1 took too long to respond. I could click reload.
51:00
Speaker 2
uh make sure to delete it might be that it appears automatically but then you just press enter that's why it's
51:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] Is there something wrong with the router? Is that why it's not reloading and why it's not letting me connect? Your, your connection was interrupted. Where do I type that in? Up at the top? My router dot info? Okay. But stuff still fills in after that. My router dot info slash UI slash 1.0. Okay, hold on a second.
52:00
Speaker 2
[silence] Tradem Marketing Cloud. [silence] My driver in full. [silence] Same thing on the address bar. [silence] Yes.
52:00
Speaker 1
Let me go to the three dots to see if I can delete the history. Maybe, maybe I need to delete any history. That's all I put in there. That's all I put in there. And then the rest of it just, a timer, goes around and around and around. And then all, all of a sudden all that information is there. Um, so, if I go to history, how do I, okay, I'm going to I, how do I go I? There's a delete. Okay, delete history. How do you delete history in Google? I I don't use, don't use Google at all. Uh, do you know how to delete history in Google? I guess. You do? You do? I see. I found out how to do it. I just deleted it.
53:00
Speaker 2
Just, ma, router. Info. Are you, can, just my router info. Do you have a different laptop or computer? [silence]
53:00
Speaker 1
okay. It's just different from everything else. All right, so I'm then I'm going to close it. I'm going to open up Google Chrome again. And then it's my, my router. And then what? Okay. And then click enter. Correct? Ensure incorrectly. This site doesn't support a secure connection. I'm going to say click on site anyway. So at least that stuff didn't add back in again. So maybe deleting the history did it. Now get ready to put in my, um, password information. Yeah, the, the printer is not working at all, because it's it it was still in the middle of installation. Okay. Now, it's got my router.info/ui/local/dynamic/index.html. Um, it says it's waiting and now it wants the router password, so I can type it in. Do you want me to do that? Okay, even though it has the word dynamic and everything attached to it. [silence] It's still loading after I put in my password. Okay, it's asking me to put my password in again.
54:00
Speaker 2
Okay, so are you on to links to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools, now? please try to enter your router's password. please try to enter your linksys router password again.
57:00
Speaker 1
[ silence ] All right. I have it up. Where do you want me to go, please? Yes, I see Linksys Smart Wi-Fi at the top. Okay. All right. I clicked on it. Nothing happened yet. Okay, then it says router not found you are not connected to your router. Why would that happen?
59:00
Speaker 2
So, are you on the Linksys smart Wi-Fi tool? Okay. Go to security key, oh, sorry, security. On the bottom. Make sure that you're connected to your Linksys router.
59:00
Speaker 1
How do I check that? Can you tell me by looking at your website? Go to Wi-Fi settings. Okay, I. On my laptop. I am. Yes. I'm clicking on Wi-Fi settings right now. The word. Wi-Fi is on. Turn it off and on. You mean? You know, see, my Wi-Fi is not going out on my laptop, but maybe it's happening intermittently and I didn't lose the signal on my my router tower.
60:00
Speaker 2
check your Wi-Fi settings if you are still connected. No, go to your Wi-Fi settings, Jennifer. Check if you're still connected with your 2.0. try to turn on and off your Wi-Fi to reconnect. Yeah. You'll refresh.
60:00
Speaker 1
So now click on Wi-Fi settings again, since I turned it back on again. I'm sitting, okay. I have had these routers, I've bought routers from you for over 15 years. And I currently have the routers, I have three routers, one on each floor and they've always worked very well. So I don't know what to tell you, to be honest with you. I've always had great success. So I'm able to open Wi-Fi settings now, but did you want me to go into something else? Okay. LinkSysmart Wi-Fi. Okay, I don't see what Wi-Fi tools in the listing.
61:00
Speaker 2
Are you too far? Are you too far from your router? So once you're connected, go back to the links of smart Wi-Fi tools.
61:00
Speaker 1
I'm at the top. Oh, smart Wi-Fi, tools at the top. Then where do I go after that? Okay? Then it says, can't access Linksys smart Wi-Fi. It's unavailable because your current Linksys smart Wi-Fi session has signed out or you don't have internet access. If your session is signed out, simply login again. If you don't have internet access, you can login to Linksys smart Wi-Fi tools offline and check your router settings. I don't know what that means or how to check my router settings. So, Roger. How do I do that? Refresh the web interface. What do you mean by that?
62:00
Speaker 2
Security and apps and gaming. Refresh the web interface. Just click the semi circle on top.
62:00
Speaker 1
semicircle on top of what exactly? I don't usually go out to Google, so you mean up at the top of the page? k, I don't know what you're talking about exactly. You mean up on the very top of the bar going across where it says Chrome, that icon or what icon are you talking about? in line with the URL? At the very top it says Lynx Smart WiFi, then it has, [silence] Chrome [silence] the general thing for generic states color, font, and editing. [silence] Okay. [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] Yeah. [silence] Oh, right, [sound inaudible].
63:00
Speaker 2
Also see if you can find the refresh icon. Yeah. It should be in line with the, address bar or the URL bar.
63:00
Speaker 1
um, home. Okay, okay. I, I found it. Thank you. [silence] [silence] got to float in. [silence] all right. I gotta sign in again.
64:00
Speaker 2
it is not part of the weblinks or Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools. it is actually on the page itself. Jennifer, in line with the URL bar or Internet bar, there's a circle there. it's a refresh icon. downloading
64:00
Speaker 1
All right. So the password is. Is my internet going out? Is that? what's happening to me? Maybe that's what the problem is. I don't know why all. I. hmm. well I clicked, I put in my password, I clicked sign in. Uh they . Is there any problem? They are typing something.
65:00
Speaker 2
Now just, [silence] if it is going on, they're supposed to be happy into all of your Linksys's devices. But earlier, we tried to access the Web interface successfully. How about now?
65:00
Speaker 1
Nothing happened. There's a waiting button. I'll click it again. Now it says incorrect password. I'll try again. [silence] But unfortunately, the password is wrong.
66:00
Speaker 2
Okay, so were you able to access the links to Smart Wi-Fi tools? [silence]
67:00
Speaker 1
[silence] So it looks like should have worked. Uh I'm waiting. It didn't say wrong password, but I'm just waiting for the program to load. [silence] Still loading. [silence] Now it says router password. It didn't say incorrect password. It just says now I have to [silence]
68:00
Speaker 2
So it shows your own password again. [silence] Can you please try to power cycle your modem?
68:00
Speaker 1
the instructions I wanted to give that. Well, you're on the phone, so okay. So power cycle the at the same. Oh first the Wi-Fi? What did you say? unplug it, okay. At the same time or at the same time, Oh, first the Wi-Fi. What did you say? Unplug it, okay. At the same time or at the same time?
69:00
Speaker 2
modem and the parent node Jennifer. Unplug the power adapter of both the modem and the parent node. Then wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute to plug the power back in. The modem from spectrum and the parent node from Linksys. Unplug both power adapter. Either or either of the device. And let's wait for yeah, same.
69:00
Speaker 1
And wait for how many. How many? Which one do I power up first or plug in first? Okay. [silence]
70:00
Speaker 2
The router, a foreign modem. Okay so you're gonna unplug the power back of the parent node first. [silence] Parent node, then your modem.
70:00
Speaker 1
Down, see, yes. Okay. I'll run back upstairs and do that. When you say refresh my laptop, what do you want me to do with it? Do I need to restart my laptop? Do I need-- Yes, I would be happy to. Uh-huh.
71:00
Speaker 2
th. and both devices are currently booting up, right?
71:00
Speaker 1
Shut down or restart your laptop. Shut down or restart. okay. so right now the, um, maybe notice it's still red. the, the modem is, is up.
72:00
Speaker 2
Yeah check the ethernet set up properly plugged in from the modem to the internet port of the router done
73:00
Speaker 1
24. the links just a still red the main, no, it's gonna turn white before I mean, have any connection. 25. [silence] 26. yeah. 27. I don't really understand what you just told me there. 28. try to recon. 29. [silence] 30. first of all, I'm in a really tight space here, and,
74:00
Speaker 1
it's not really convenient that I'm going to do this, but I need, I need your patience with me. my laptop is back up, so what you want me to do now is to go out to your website. Is that right? Go back out to your website. go back out to your website. okay. So, SP Cook still shows up as connected, but the Linksys is still red down here, the node. So do you want me to go out there online to Google? my99.com.
75:00
Speaker 2
Make sure, yeah, make sure, but make sure your laptop is connected to your Wi-Fi name. Yeah, open a browser, Google, then enter 192.168.1.1.
75:00
Speaker 1
One. One. Six. Oh my gosh, I didn't bring all my passwords down. Please. I don't remember that one. Yeah, it's floating around.
76:00
Speaker 2
able to assess 192.168.1.1.
76:00
Speaker 1
right now it's not asking for a password yet but hopefully in a minute and then the node turned white okay now it's asking for my email address and my password. Am I at the right place? Yeah, so it's not the right location, right? it's it's on link to smart Wi-Fi sign in asking for my email. So I need to take out. So I need to go back and what's the best thing to do since I'm at this place? Do I click in the the title line and back that out and try to log in again?
77:00
Speaker 2
Do not log in using your email. Make sure to log in using your router password. Yes. [silence] Can you see a picture of that?
77:00
Speaker 1
Can I what? What? My router dot info.
78:00
Speaker 2
okay can you see a picture of the phone okay can you try to describe every time you're routed to a page when you try to access the web interface Jennifer so try to go back make sure it's Google how about my router dot info
78:00
Speaker 1
And then some stuff added on to the back of it. So I, erased that off. So it's just my router. info. And enter. Why is all that happening? Is it because, uh, history or something? Or Yeah. Okey, it's still added it all back on. It added all of that information back on to the end of it. Now it's My router.info/UI/1 you know that, that whole thing. So do I back it off of there or does it still stay there even though it's backed off or So does
79:00
Speaker 2
Yes. It wasn't registered. It automatically appears. You really need to delete that one and make sure to enter the exact IP address or credentials to log in. [silence]
79:00
Speaker 1
What did you say? It says go through. I don't know what that means. I'm sorry. Do I need to go through? So I'm at the right place. I can put in my password. Correct. You want me to proceed? Okay, great. [silence]
80:00
Speaker 2
But it goes through or not? It goes through. And it proceeds. It works to access the Linksys Smart WiFi tools. Yes, if you are in the right place, then if it asks you to log in using your router password, then proceed to log in. [silence]
80:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] [silence] [silence] [silence] loading. So just so I understand what I'm doing once we get in here, do I need to be writing down some stuff that I'm going to be doing once we get in here so that I know what I can explain it to the people? Um okay. Okay.
81:00
Speaker 2
[silence], sorry. [silence] Under the links Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools now, no need. [silence], because this should be the one who we're going to provide the credentials for the specific port number because it's the third sign of defenses
81:00
Speaker 1
Okay, I don't know. Yeah, I do that, but they're asking for something else and I don't know what that means and so you're going to teach me how to do it so that I can tell them, hey, I did what you asked? Is that kind of what's happening here? Okay. I don't know... Okay. I don't know what you mean bye... That whole thing you just said, you're saying, you guys, okay, I don't understand it, I don't understand it. but you want me to do something is what you're saying.
82:00
Speaker 2
partied device, Jennifer. But it is not our scope to troubleshoot your printer thoroughly. But what I can do to help you is to direct you to navigate the apps and gaming section to open ports. But for the cred... for your credentials. We can't provide any credentials. It should be provided by the manufacturer of your printer. What, but you want to open port to verify if it actually works. Because to be honest with you, Jennifer, if your if your printer itself [silence]
82:00
Speaker 1
Yes, it is. Okay, yeah, that's what I want to do. That's what I want to do, yeah. So, I'm ready to go. So, I'm, you wanted me to go to security. Is that right? All right. Okay, um so I see it. Okay. I don't know what you mean by you need to put all the credentials it needs. I don't know what that means. Okay, so there was single port forwarding.
83:00
Speaker 2
[ ] if keeps installing or in the middle of the installation and you cannot proceed to do anything which means the router or the printer itself is not actually working. It's very clear. But if you really want to open port then we can do that to verify if it actually works or not. Yes, security and then apps and gaming then single port forwarding and you need to put all the credentials that it needs. Okay, apps and gaming and then select single port forwarding.
83:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] I clicked on it and then it says, add a new single port forwarding. So I'm going to add one. Okay, all of that. All of all of that is upstairs because that's where my email. Okay, I was looking at my email, but I had to close it all down. Okay, where is my email? I don't know what I'm doing, but go to email. Go to email, go to email, there. Go to. Okay. Wait, Jim, go on if I could. It. Okay.
84:00
Speaker 2
Nations of print they provide the
85:00
Speaker 1
they have incoming, they have four different incoming ports, they have one, two, three, four, five, six outgoing ports, and then web services, they have um four numbers. So application name. So if it's there's a port range forwarding, port range triggering, single port forwarding. I don't have anything in I just have incoming ports. So do I put them all on there's application name.
86:00
Speaker 2
Well, specific port number should be for the external and internal ports. Then type all the ports that they recommend for the external and the internal port. External is for...
86:00
Speaker 1
I don't know what that what do I type there? That's the first thing. Principle for that. Okay, then external ports. Um, they don't have anything for external port. They just have incoming UDP ports. And outgoing ports. So I don't have is outgoing an external port? Okay. So then do I type all those numbers in that blank? Okay. Okay. So how do you pick which one I'm supposed to put?
87:00
Speaker 2
Just your printer, HP printer. doubt going. Yeah, incoming for the internal. No, I just recommend one. You cannot enter all the port number. Jennifer. You can try all that information that they provided if it works.
87:00
Speaker 1
The external port set the outgoing port right? External port is the outgoing. What happens when I put this in, is it gonna screw up stuff for me? Far as you know, I d, I don't, I don't have an IP address or that. So it said, there's no way to access that printer since it's in the middle of setup. You cannot get any information off of it. So [silence]
88:00
Speaker 2
Yeah. Just if you want to verify, it will not affect any, the question is that if it actually worked, we cannot guarantee. Because the printer itself it's in the middle of installation, you need to, you need also to gather the IP device, the IP address of the device. You need to go to the settings of your printer. [silence] Yeah, that's my, that's my expectation earlier. Um,
88:00
Speaker 1
Oh, I can't hang up and just call back later and ask all this stuff again to somebody without um I understand I have to call back and try to fix the printer before I put the security information in here, but if I do I have to put in all one five numbers in the uh external port with a comma in between them. Is that what I'm sure.
89:00
Speaker 2
Jennifer, because if the printer itself is in the middle of the installation and you can proceed to do anything, how we can gather some information to open the port, [silence] as if to it cannot guarantee that it will work. You can actually try it individually external, internal and then if it will work, you can use a different port number.
89:00
Speaker 1
Yeah. OK. Then it says device, which is dot one. Dot device IP address is the 192.168.1.11 or I don't know what, I don't know the IP the device IP address. Because I'm just putting in my router dot info. So it's got 1 192.168.1.114 or do you know? Are you still there? [silence]
90:00
Speaker 2
again, all you need to ask Jennifer is the specific port number that you're going to use for the external and internal port. And also the device IP address.
90:00
Speaker 1
Hello? [silence] is 192.168.1. uh, I don't know where to get that information. [silence] Oh, that's different. Okay, they didn't know that. So, they're not giving me the information I need to ask you,
91:00
Speaker 2
okay, so all you need to do for the okay, I already directed you to the apps and gaming when you can open port Jennifer. And all you need to do in your end is to gather all the information from your printer. The external port, the internal port and the device IP address. The IP address of the printer. You can ask the manufacturer of the printer itself. 192.168.1.1 is the IP address of your router from us Lynx. How about the IP address of your printer? You need to gather that.
91:00
Speaker 1
You do the question to fill out your form. This is your form. You know, they don't, they don't know anything. I don't know anything. And I'm spending a lot of money for routers over the last 15 years and I feel like I'm being really, uh, I don't know why nobody wants to help me. I, so I get that part of the information is missing, but even when I call back, I'm kind of on my own here. I, this is everything should be working and I don't understand what's not working and why we're having trouble. Um, so taste it for. Yeah,
92:00
Speaker 2
I see. So, the printer as of today has not been printing. Right. Are you able to see the printer when in your list of devices located next to the printer? Okay. Yes, you do. But the printer as of today has not been printing. And you mentioned that all of your other devices, is it wireless or are they wired? Not the printer. Okay. So, no other devices is they having a problem connecting to your network? Okay. Just the printer. All right. How about you? Reboot or turn off? If you were to turn off and then turn on all right, let me connect you to our technical team for further assistance and then we can begin further troubleshooting. I'm sorry for that as well. Is that okay with you?
92:00
Speaker 1
Yes. That's right. It's brand new, but they were just in the middle of reinstalling it. That's the problem, yeah. And the uh, uh, right? Okay. Thank you very much. Yes.
93:00
Speaker 2
The printer is in the middle of an installation. For now, I can proceed with anything but the printer itself is not currently working. I don't know if it needs a software update, there has to be a setting that needs to get trigger so for it to work. What's the problem because it's in the middle of installation and we cannot do anything. We cannot access the setting to verify if the 2.4 gigaherzes band is actually get detecting so that we are gonna connect and then check the error message appears. If it will show us unable to join, incorrect password. Your main goal for now is to make sure that your printer is
93:00
Speaker 1
uh huh. Yep. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, thanks, and I'll give you guys a call back after that. Thank you. Right, exactly. All right, okay, I'll give him a call back and see what we can get done. Thank you so much. Hold on. All right. Hold on, hold on. Hold on. I gotta get this. All right, just made a giant mess here. Hey, where is my paper?
94:00
Speaker 2
uh, uh successfully installed so that we can proceed to do anything uh, that would, we need to do, uh, do, uh, without device. Yeah. And since I already directed you to the security, uh, they, if they provided the exact port number to be used for this uh form, then we can proceed to open ports. Uh but as what I mentioned, Jennifer, it is not necessary to open ports to connect up printer. Most of the printer recommence to connect with a 2.4 gigahertz band. 0 4 8 583 okay, you're welcome, Jennifer. And feel free to call us back once the printer installed. And then let's try the.
94:00
