This is Linksys technical support calling. This call is recorded for quality assurance. Please hold as we connect you to a Linksys specialist. Hello. Hello, sir. This is Mark from the Linksysu Level 2 tech team. This is the best time to call you back. All right, sir. From what I understand, uh you uh you uh you wanted to uh separate the bands, uh in your uh MX4200u mesh system. Um, but when you tried to, you you're unable to log on to the interface. Now, you uh, you uh,
00:00
Speaker 2
Hello? Well, which is good as any, yeah. Right, yeah. Let me let me give a brief explanation. When I bought this system a few years ago, um, I just I just gave the SSIDs the same, I gave the the the two channels The same SSID because I didn't care whether anything hooked up to 2.4 or 5. It made no differential to me, so I thought they'll hook up to wherever they're most comfortable. But now I've got uh something that I have demands to be connected to 2.4. And I've got no way to do that because uh they're you know both the channels are running the uh the same SSID. So I need to separate them so I can put some things on 5 and I'll have uh a few other things on uh on the 2.4 gig. So we tried to log in earlier with the guy that I was talking to and tried a number of things and just it would not allow.
00:00
Speaker 1
And you were using a Windows computer or a Mac computer at that time? Uh-huh. are checkout.
02:00
Speaker 2
It kept giving us that I believe it was 2298 error? So using a HP laptop running Windows 11. And he thought at first that it was the Edge browser. So I downloaded Firefox and made no difference. Um, hold on, let me. Yeah, I'd have to just I don't.
02:00
Speaker 1
You can open the command prompt instead then. [silence]
03:00
Speaker 2
I've never used that on this computer. Um, okay. A proxy. Work. Wait a minute. I very, very seldom use this laptop anymore. And it's changed a lot since it upgraded to Windows 11. So hang on.
03:00
Speaker 1
You can search it. Yeah. On the search box, just type on, CMD, okay. And then we'll just Enter. I P. It should show the interface.
04:00
Speaker 2
This is this just updated a few days ago. This is very different than what I'm used to. Where is the command prompt on this now? I just used to go and type CMD. OK, duh, fat's the same. All right, I'm there. OK.
04:00
Speaker 1
all right okay let's open the browser and then use the default gateway
05:00
Speaker 2
[DOWNWEIGHT] One nine two, One six eight, One nine two One six eight dot one dot seven zero. Oh that's dot one dot one. Okay, been there done that but I'll try again. Okay. Not a, no way lenny young. [silence] Okay.
05:00
Speaker 1
Okay sir, Uh the recovery link. Okay, All right, all right. Uh at least 10 characters long or more should have an uppercase, a lowercase a number and then a special character.
06:00
Speaker 2
says enter recovery key. My recovery key's same. I submitted that. Okay, Waiting, Waiting. Waitings. Well, that's strange. Okay. it says it wants the created new admin password and hint. Hm. Uh now, he told me it had to be 10 characters. Is that correct? [silence]
06:00
Speaker 1
okay [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] okay [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] 32 28 [silence] [silence] [silence] 32 98 this computer star how is this connected to the nodes?
07:00
Speaker 2
Okay, I've got 10 characters. I've got, uh, upper case and I've got, uh, special characters. Special, okay, password hint. Let me type a hint in there. Reset. Unexpected error 2298. Okay.
07:00
Speaker 1
connected wireless or wired to one of the nodes. Okay. Have you tried restarting the parent node after getting this error? The parent node, the main node. Just unplug it, turn it off, then plug it back after, let's say, 30 seconds. Let's try that. Sure. [silence]
08:00
Speaker 2
is connected wirelessly [ silence ] restarting the you mean doing a restart on the wireless the whole unit? no I haven't can you hang on a second I'll let my wife go do that because I'm [ silence ] Hold on. One second, please. I need for you to do something else for me in the office, please. All right, I need to get for you to get that unit again, the same one that you had earlier. All right, you see the Ethernet cable plugged in into the back of it, right? All right, you know what the brown electric plug is that's plugged into it. Oh, Jesus, I'm sorry. Whoa. The black, the, the, the black, what is the round one? One? Whoa. Whoa. Oh, my lord. Whoa. Whoa. What? Which one is round, Jim? Just like a. [silence] That's what I just said, but the plug that goes in there with electrical is round, pull it out please and just hold it a bit. That should have turned it off, Let's see, and it did, yes, it did. Okay, hold on. going to have you plug it back in here in just a few seconds. All right, go ahead back and plug it back in and put the, put the router back up where it was. All right, thank you. I gotta go, Jean. Bye. I just had my wife unplug it and plug it back in. So now we have to wait for it to reboot and I can see it. Yeah, I'm just looking at my phone. That'll tell me when it's booted back up. still waiting sorry okay let me just check here I think we're back up silence
08:00
Speaker 1
All right, so now let's try to log onto that page again or open a new tab, enter that address. [silence]
15:00
Speaker 2
connections we are reconnected okay let me yeah let me reopen it so i get it clean all right All right. Enter recovery key again. What do I do here? Submit. Okay. Okay. [silence] Oh.
15:00
Speaker 1
All right. Okay. I understand. No, no, no. Well, in my experience if if this is this error is persistent, there is a need to reset the nodes to factory settings and then reconfigure. Well, not necessarily, sir. We can just
17:00
Speaker 2
[silence]. Sorry, I'm just getting very frustrated. Um, I mean, are we going to be able to get into this router or what? Oh dear god. At every node, all three?
17:00
Speaker 1
reset the parent node, well, we should be able to, based on my experience. Oh, okay, well, you need to press another reset button at the bottom of the node. Uh, you should keep holding until the light.
18:00
Speaker 2
the main one. [silence] [silence] Okay. [silence] Um, I'll tell you what's scaring me. What if we do a reset and we still can't get in? Then I've got nothing. [silence] Well, we should be able to get in right now and that's not happening. Um, okay. [silence] Explain, explain the process for resetting this so I know, because I may have to go in and do this myself. I don't know that I can trust my wife. Go ahead.
18:00
Speaker 1
Uh, turns off until it turns blue again and then you let go. Uh, it's pretty small, like a grain of rice. It's labeled reset though, so you should know. Um. Um. Yeah, I, I understand. But I'm pretty sure you'll be able to.
19:00
Speaker 2
How big is the button? Oh god, oh my god. okay, I'm gonna have, so I'm, I don't know. now. My wife. going to have to. So it doesn't have to be in play. We just need to reset. and then I'll be honest with it, it really scares me because if if we reset and then we can't get in still, I've got no phone, I've got no wireless with all of my connections, that would be a disaster.
19:00
Speaker 1
I, um, I'm 100% sure. Okay.
20:00
Speaker 2
Well, pretty sure is not really assuring to me. uh What to do. um should be able to We should be able to right now I don't know what to do I mean are we 99% sure Are we 50% sure Are we uh You're 100% sure Okay, all right. I'm sorry, but I'll the you know all up I'm going to have to have my wife go in there again. put this phone down and call her on the intercom Hold on. Thank you. Okay I'm gonna need for you to do another thing for me in there again, Gina. I'm sorry it is giving us a f. Please don't start now. Not right now. Um, fine. Word. All right. Uh, when we do this, all the TVs are going to go down. Everything's going to go down for a few minutes for now. Uh including this phone. So hold on. Let me get some look on the bottom of it and there should be a very small button and it should of the unit, Gene. Yes. On the bottom of it, there should
20:00
Speaker 2
Do you see that? Is it a button that you're going to be able to press? Is it big enough for you to press? Okay, hold on. Are you still there? Hello? Okay, so when she presses that button, she's going to press and hold the button. The light on the top will then go off, and she's going to keep holding it until it comes back up and turns what color again? So, will it go through other lights first, other colors? [silence] [silence] Okay. Uh, Jean, I'm going to have you hold that button, but you're going to press it and then you're going to hold it. And when you hold it, that light on top will go off. It will then you you keep on holding. It will then come back on and it will be red and you're going to hold it until it turns blue again. And then when it turns blue, you can let go. So tell me when you're ready to do that. You doing it now? All right. Just keep on holding till it turns blue. Oh, God. Well, probably if it's not doing anything, you're not pressing it. Well, I know that's why you have to get something to press on it. Are you holding it down? Oh Lord.
23:00
Speaker 1
Yeah, it should be accurate. Like the light should be changing along the way. Yeah, the tip of a paper clip will help with a reset.
26:00
Speaker 2
I can't hear you. I usually use like the end of a paper clip, depends on what I'm doing, I don't know how. Is the button going down? Then you It's not, I mean, it's not shutting off. Oh, hi, Keith. Holding. What? I don't know what you're saying. It went green and then it went to blue. Well, the TV's going to stop because I can see from here that it's still on.
27:00
Speaker 1
All right. Yes, after letting go of the button, it should do this cycle. And then, we expect it to have a steady purple light. So, like, how far are you from that nocer? Okay [silence]
29:00
Speaker 2
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] okay you can go ahead and let it go now. Thank you. it's blinking. you're supposed to blink? all right it will blink that's fine you can you can go ahead and put it back Jean. Thank you. that took an awful long time for that to shut down. uh I I'm the ways. What did you need? do you need to check the light? [silence]
29:00
Speaker 1
not necessarily but if your let's say laptop is able to detect the default SSID of that node in this location uh we're we're good Is it steady pink? okay? Great. That's what we want. So, let's try it. So, open the Wi-Fi of this laptop, check on the list. [silence] And then look for the Wi-Fi that says Valop setup, that's underscore V-E-L-O-P setup. [silence]
30:00
Speaker 2
Well hold on, Jane. What color is that now? Great. This is really. You know Oh, okay. Well, there is no link right now. That I can tell you. Uh, let's see. Let me look at the Wi-Fi. Oh.
31:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Connect your laptop to it. Uh, no, I mean you need to select it. Uh, select it and then silence.
32:00
Speaker 2
Okay, we've got a Velop setup 052. Do I use an IP or you want me to connect to an H T T P colon underscore Velop setup 052? [silence] Well, that [silence] Hold on. [silence] Um I'm not seeing that on my laptop. I'm seeing that on my um my phone. Let me see what I can pull up here.Wi-Fi.
32:00
Speaker 1
I know the password is printed at the bottom, sir. What was the name again?velope setup uh what what's the name again velocity uh what what's the last didges it's the one that's the parent node [silence] [silence] [silence]
33:00
Speaker 2
is... Oh, gee, turned itself off, great, Wi-Fi, back on, okay, Okay, I've got hidden networks here. All right, do that one. We'll connect. Enter password. It wants the password, so that may be somebody else's network around here. Oh, Jesus Christ. You need to tell me this before. Sorry. What's what? Underscore vellup setup zero five two. Okay. Um, okay. Yeah, one second. No, no, no. Um, it's not reading barcode label. Try squirt.
33:00
Speaker 1
Yes, that's right. So it should say, Wi-Fi name and the password as well. Yes, sir, so it should say Wi-Fi and then password below it. [silence]
34:00
Speaker 2
go on the bottom of it is there is there does it show the the password that comes with it all right I need you to pick it up again on the bottom it should say password it should say password is that right oh hold on does she I uppercase or lowercase gene all right oh okay
34:00
Speaker 1
yeah, it should be zeros, by the way, and there's no, uh,
35:00
Speaker 2
uh all right what's after that? something Well, a capital O is going to be rounder, if it's a, nevermind, just go ahead. Z Z. Okay. So the, there's a password in there only has one number in the whole thing, and that's a zero. Okay, hold on. Yes. No, I don't. I just hold on. [silence]
35:00
Speaker 1
Okay. uh, forget it, Fraser. You're, you're almost there. So, have your computer, have your computer, before you, [silence]
36:00
Speaker 2
See if that works or not. I can't connect to this network. Isn't that great? I I I I don't know I'm about to Well I'm not almost there. Obviously I'm not almost there. All right let me try this one more time. [silence] I'm not
36:00
Speaker 1
have your computer forget this Wi-Fi first right click on it then click the option to forget it when you write click on when you write click on uh that connecting okay try to connect again automatically
37:00
Speaker 2
oh my God that's not giving you let me just turn it off it's still pink all right that's all right you want me to I've turned the wi-fi off let me turn it back on oh I mean that's the only one that I'm getting so I don't know what you want to do here um no Jean I'm not talking to you I'm sorry I right click on deal off setup 72 and the only option is to connect automatically or connect [silence]
37:00
Speaker 1
And then, and then make sure that. Yes, sir. Make sure that the, when you enter the password, you follow what's printed at the bottom, the uppercase, the lowercase.
38:00
Speaker 2
password. Does it use passwords? Go ahead. All right. Are those all uppercase or lowercase, Jean? Are you sure? No, no, no. That's not the question. That's not the question. That's not the question. You're sure that? All right. Well, let's try again then. W. the. [silence] [silence] I I don't know. I don't know. I'm I'm trying again right now. I I don't know whether that's a zero or an O. She she thinks it's a an O. Capital O. Password isn't correct. All right. I I I I don't know what to do. All right, W Let me try one more time. Just, "stop Gene, please." Will he stop? That time I used the zero. Oh no, that went to the wrong one, hold on. No, I don't Jean.
38:00
Speaker 1
0 [silence] yes [silence] okay [silence] maybe the L [silence] or [silence] [silence]
41:00
Speaker 2
Can't connect. So I don't know. Is one of the what node? There's just one that the um, no, um, the uh main is connected uh obviously via Ethernet to the cable modem. And then the two the two nodes are connected wirelessly to that. All right. Hold on one second. Did you say 2 Ks or 1 K? You said there's two. All right. Hold on again. Lord have mercy. I don't want to do that again. Okay. W. T. H.
42:00
Speaker 1
uh, did, did it give an, an error? Okay. Alright. Alright. So
45:00
Speaker 2
Open browser and connect yes no it says uh action needed no internet open browser and connect so we are connected to the router but obviously there's no setup on it now oops I'm sorry I'm so flustered right now I'm putting things in the wrong place I'm gonna slide you down so I can't hear you okay thanks bye I may call you again okay I'm so I'm sorry Trying to work with my wife, who is not technical in any stretch or sense is as you can see difficult. [silence]
45:00
Speaker 1
That's okay. So we'll have to open a browser. God. Yes, sir. So. Okay. This is for now and
46:00
Speaker 2
Ah, God. All right. So. Um, I've got a browser open. I can just do the one nine, two, one, six, a, one one, again. And I also seem to have lost my number lock, cause that's not doing anything. Off. Okay. Why is this not doing anything? that's it. Okay. holy lord. Access V lap router password. Log in with your router password. Um, go ahead.
46:00
Speaker 1
Of the. You can just click not now. Yeah, it's just a browser prompt. So, it's not part of the... Awesome. Now the first white box is network status. What does it show you? On? Okay. Okay. So it gives you the option to enable default.
47:00
Speaker 2
Oh, the, this is the standard, all right. Okay, save password for uh, it has a username, no username, and it has the password, which is the standard, min. Um, I should put a username, I need to put in something, I don't care. admin works for pass, but I gotta get a password in here. Not now. Okay. Okay, all right. I'm I'm I'm on the dashboard now. Hold on. Oh, network status. Okay. I gotta get my nerves to calm down. Uh, this device green.
47:00
Speaker 1
Awesome. Now, at the very bottom, like the footnote of this page, there's this pretty small writing that says CA. Need to click that. if you scroll down to the very bottom part of the page, there are this pretty small writing. it should say CA, like California. So, you. Mhm. You already mentioned end user.
48:00
Speaker 2
I check mark router green check mark. And it says connected, I guess it were connected to the internet now. Uh oh, wait a minute, like where am I looking? Oh, user license. I I see A. A priority, external storage, parent controls, device list. Oh, I think.
48:00
Speaker 1
and use your license agreement, uh if you read to the right of it you should find CA. or what other texts? It doesn't say CA. Okay. All right, let's go to connectivity. That's on the very left. Uh
49:00
Speaker 2
End user license agreement privacy statement third party licenses Oklahoma privacy policy 2023 Lynxess Holdings Inc and or its affiliates all affiliates all rights reserved. That's it. No. No. So I just realized I also lost my my guest setup which has my generator on it. God almighty. [silence]
49:00
Speaker 1
Uh and then look for the tab that says, uh, router setup. Okay. All right. So, in order to reset the parent node, you want to reconfigure it. Now, for the child nodes to reconnect, you need to create the SSID and password exactly the same as before. So,
50:00
Speaker 2
This is a flipping nightmare. I should have just gotten a new router. All right. I'm sorry. I'm in connectivity. What do you want me to do? CA router setup. Yes. SSID. Right. Right. Uh but Okay. But here's the thing. Um Is one SSID going to cover uh 5 GHz and
50:00
Speaker 1
So, for now, sir, we'll just set up one for both. The goal for now is for the child nodes to reconnect. And then once the child nodes reconnect, we go back to this and then... [silence]
51:00
Speaker 2
1G going to cover 2.4? Is this how this is going to work? Well. Then we'll okay. All right. All right. All right, I got you. I got you, okay, Password:
51:00
Speaker 1
Click on setup node once you're you've created Wi-Fi name and password. All right. And you created it, created it exactly the same as before, right? Sorry.
52:00
Speaker 2
Ok so I'm gonna set up this first node, is that right? Your router is applying changes, the action you've performed may cause devices to temporarily lose connectivity. This may take a few minutes, please wait. Ok. Oh Lord have mercy. I didn't thinkt this was going to take this kind of toll on my nerves.
52:00
Speaker 1
Well, that's normal, sir. Sir. or, man. Sir. So we'll give it some time then. What should happen next is for that parent node to have a steady blue light and your laptop should be detecting the Wi-Fi that you created.
53:00
Speaker 2
You: "Not found. You mother... " Jane: "You are not going to...." Jane: "Not found? That's normal. Okay, hold on a second. Yes, Jane. What do you need? No, don't do... No, bye. Okay, so that's normal. All right. So what do you want me to do?" [silence]
53:00
Speaker 1
okay I try to connect the laptop to it. that's okay. [silence] okay
54:00
Speaker 2
Oh, I see what you're, let me look. Well, I named the S.S. ID, O-R-B-I -04 and it sees it. connect the laptop to it. Okay. Sorry, I got long passwords. Okay, we're connected to it.
54:00
Speaker 1
OK. Now, let's see if we can... You can go back to the web interface. Maybe you refresh it. Refresh the page. Or does it... Uh-huh. There's no error message? OK. All right. That's good. [silence] [silence] OK. All right.
55:00
Speaker 2
though... um... Okay. Well, I'm on the web interface right now. I... Well... No, I'm on... I mean, it says smart WiFi tools device list, guest access, parental controls, priority, speed check, external, um connected. Oh, here we go. WiFi settings underscore VLOP, velop, setup 052 2.4. Um, and then velop setup 0
55:00
Speaker 1
Hold on. Let's go back to connectivity and then... Yeah, that's what we expect.
56:00
Speaker 2
0, 5, 2, 5 gigs, and then there's a bellop set up, 0, 5, 2, 5 gigs. That's another one. One of there's I assume is the guest access is off. Holy Jeez Louise. Okay. Uh, uh, hold on. What do you want? What is blue? Oh, I know. I'm sorry. We got it, Jeann. Thank you. If I need you, I call you again all right? Bye. Sorry. Uh, ha ha ha. My wife was calling me to tell me that the router was now blue Ha ha ha ha. Uh, huh, sorry. But I needed a little giggle All right. So what do we do now? Where do we go?
56:00
Speaker 1
let's verify first. We go to go back to connectivity and then the CA router setup and uh does it say that the master node is now set up? Configured. Okay. And are you any way near a child node, sir? Uh, what's the, what's the behavior of the light on top of it? Okay. Okay. okay. Try.
57:00
Speaker 2
your master node is now configured. Yes, relatively. Well, I'll have to go in and check. Hold on a second. Well, I'll just take the phone with me. Okay. We have a we have a red blinking light.
57:00
Speaker 1
Yeah, uh, wanted to confirm it if it would show blue. Uh, it may take some time. Um, maybe after five minutes, it'll show a steady blue light.
58:00
Speaker 2
Okay. You want me to stay by it while it uh boots back up? All right well it'll take a couple three minutes.
58:00
Speaker 1
What happened? Silence. That's okay. Let's go back. Yeah . Yeah, well, since there's a mismatch in the name, this channel won't be able to reconnect. So, we need to go back to the interface. [silence] Uh, this time, let's go to Wi-Fi settings. That's on the very left of the page, right above security. Okay. And this is where to show you the Wi-Fi name and then...
60:00
Speaker 2
You're still blinking red. Okay, so I... All right. Let me get back there. Hold on. Okay. So, you want me to go back to... Wi-Fi settings, okay?
61:00
Speaker 1
Wi-Fi password. Uh, yeah, sir. Uh, you should see two sections for the five. Um, is that what you're seeing? Like there's two five gig both band. All right. Alright. Okay. So, change everything to what it was before. [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence] [silence]
62:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, you want me to change it in there? Okay. I see. Yeah, because um, I see 2.4 and then 2 for the 5. So let me change this. So that needs to be - like the - Okay. Apply.
62:00
Speaker 1
yes. Yes. All right. yes sir, and just click yes. Do the five, the two point four have the same exact wifi name? uh huh. yes sir, I'm still here.
63:00
Speaker 2
you're updating Wi-Fi settings blah blah blah [silence]okay. just say yes. [silence]oh [silence]oh well. [silence]yes [silence]uh but they all [silence]all of those but I need to change the fives then I guess. [silence]are you there? [silence]I'm [silence]I'm going to change these [silence]I will change these to uh ORBI [silence]
63:00
Speaker 1
Well, the the goal for Naser is to make it exactly the same as before so the the child node can reconnect. [silence]
64:00
Speaker 2
uh, 05, I I guess. That's that's easy enough. [silence] Okay. Okay. All right, I'm, okay. I see. All right. Okay. And then down here. Apply.
64:00
Speaker 1
yeah ignore that for now sir and then yeah and then check if the wi-fi you created is now being detected by your laptop thank you
65:00
Speaker 2
Okay, it says router not found again, I just ignore that. Well, it just went away on its own. By my la oh, okay. Well, okay, hold on.
65:00
Speaker 1
All right. That's okay. No. Yeah, I expect it to not be there anymore. All right, that's okay. That could just be remnants of the previous Wi-Fi name. But, uh, let's go back to where the child nodes. And then let's see if it has reconnect.
66:00
Speaker 2
Okay, I'm connected to the orbi-04 that I just created. Um, I have no which, clue, I don't have a clue whether I'm connected to the 2.4 or the 5 gig. Um, but the lower case orbi is still also showing on there. That should have gone away, shouldn't it? But it's still there. [silence] Okay. I just refreshed it and it went away. The orbi should have gone away.
66:00
Speaker 1
Okay. All right, try restarting it again. It's the same procedure. Unplug it and plug it back after 30 seconds.
67:00
Speaker 2
the. All right, let me go back in there. Hold on. And we are blinking red. All right. I plugged it back in.
67:00
Speaker 1
[silence] all right okay uh that's the usual behavior when it's restarting but uh we wanna yeah, we wanna see if here we wanna see if it it will have a steady blue okay um
68:00
Speaker 2
I name see what happened. Oh. Well that's odd. It's got a blinking blue light. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? The blinking blue. Constant blue when it's working. Okay. Now we got a blinking red.
68:00
Speaker 1
Is it still flashing? Oh. Okay. all right is
69:00
Speaker 2
Yes. Okay. It went to a blinking green and now it's on a steady red. So it's doing something.
69:00
Speaker 1
Alright. Let's give it two more minutes. just to be sure. Now, uh, you probably need to do the same thing to the other child note or how many notes do you have? like the parent node and just the parent node and this one. Okay, then there's three nodes. Okay.
70:00
Speaker 2
Oh, we're steady blue. Oh. Oh. All right. I'll stay in here. Two. Just two. Yeah. No, no, I'm sorry. Three nodes. The main one, and then the two child nodes. One is in, the main node is in my home office.
70:00
Speaker 1
Uh-oh. okay. okay. all right. That's good, sir, that node has reconnected already. But I'm wondering if, uh, someone can restart the other child node. Yeah, all right, all right. [silence] Uh-oh.
71:00
Speaker 2
Then I have a node here out in the RV that powers the TV in the... the RV and other stuff in here. And then we have another one that's in one of the bedrooms in the house because we have a generator but the generator has to be on its own network. So that's why I have the guest network set up. So I've got to get that thing reconnected. Okay, we're still blue. Do you want me to stay in here? [silence] Okay. Let me go back. I'm calling my wife on the intercom and have her do that. Hold on a second. I'm trying to get back over here. All right. Hold on while we give her a call and I'll get her doing that.
71:00
Speaker 2
[silence] All right. Thank you for doing all this. So, we're in process and things are working now. I need for you to go into the bedroom, to that uh, one in there. Yeah, I need, okay. Yeah, I need, we're still setting up the individual nodes. I need for you to go in there to, I haven't heard anything. I'm not talking to. And before you do anything, I want you to tell me it's red.
72:00
Speaker 1
Yes. You're unplugged. Then plug it back after 30 seconds. [silence] Yes, that.
73:00
Speaker 2
hear. blinking red. Okay. Hold on. It's blinking red. So she goes, go ahead and, and, and unplug that one now. Okay. Uh, I need for you to unplug that and then just leave it unplugged for a good half a minute. tell me when it's unplugged. Okay. All right. This guy's being very patient with me because you know how frazzled I get. No, I haven't. I just been it just well, that's just my nerves. I'm not, no, he's been very good. My wife says, thank you for putting up with me. [silence] Okay. All right, Jean, go ahead and plug it in again and then stay there 'cause it's gonna go through various colors then before you decide, tell me what's going on. Probably the doorbell and various things around the house are not gonna work for a bit. I'll probably I will probably stay home tomorrow and well, it'll start out blue, but it's gonna change and it will change a couple of times. Okay, it'll blink red for a minute or two, and then it should go to, I think of this one in here went to green for a few seconds, then back to red and then back to steady blue.
73:00
Speaker 1
All right. Yes sir. Yeah just give it more time or you know that's great. All right. That's that's about.
76:00
Speaker 2
Steady. Steady or blinking. It's back to steady blue. So that one's now reconnected. Nope, nope, nope, nope, it just went to red. Yeah. It's back to blue. Blinking or steady. It's probably about it. Uh, it's back to a steady blue right now.
76:00
Speaker 1
o, okay. So, the goal is to change the wifi name of the 2.4Hz. So, since you're there, add something on the name of the 2.4Hz
77:00
Speaker 2
green didn't last very long. Oh, well, maybe didn't do it. I don't know. it still blue. It's still blue, so I guess we're there. No. All right, Jean, thank you. Bye. All right. Okay. I'm back at the interface. I'm there.
77:00
Speaker 1
uh no problem uh yeah
78:00
Speaker 2

78:00
Speaker 1

79:00
Speaker 2

79:00
Speaker 1
All right. You didn't change the password, right? It's just the same. It's just the name, right? The the chain. Okay. Now, check if you can connect the logs up to it. Yes. [silence]
80:00
Speaker 2
Bye bye. So you changed the name twice? Just the name? OK. Yes, I'm seeing Orbi 2.4. I just changed the name. That's all I changed. Oh, um, 2, the 2.4 you mean. Oh, all right. Uh, connect.
80:00
Speaker 1
That's okay. That's okay, sir. Since you're switching networks, so you lose connection through the interface. Uh-huh. Okay. Go back to the list and then re-select or.
81:00
Speaker 2
I'm going to have to log back in. Um... I don't even see a Wi-Fi signal. All right. Not that. Uh, I can't connect to it. What the hell is going on here? I can't connect to anything. Let me look at my phone, see what's happening here. Okay. Okay. That's interesting. It seems to be coming back, but... Let me look here. All right. Connecting to 2.4. Okay, it connected. I don't know what that was all about.
82:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Alright. So distinguishing 2.4 and 5 should be good. Now you said you want to go back to setting up the guest Wi-Fi? Or Try it. [silence]
84:00
Speaker 2

85:00
Speaker 2

85:00
Speaker 1
Okay, hold on. We're not supposed to be doing that. Yeah, and then you should be selecting the option to log in. Instead. And then use the, I don't want to continue setup. Then quit setup. Yeah. [silence]
86:00
Speaker 2
name your Wi-Fi. Yeah, I don't want to do this. So let me back outta here. In fact, let me just kill the app. Okay. Let me try again. Ready to complete setup. Complete setup. I don't want to continue setup. Uh, quit setup. It's configuring your network. That's making me nervous.
86:00
Speaker 1
Yeah, that's... Okay. Uh-huh. All right. Okay. All right. Okay, it can enable it.
87:00
Speaker 2
Save. It's restarting the Wi-Fi for the guest access to become active? All right. As long as it's normal. Length of suggested networks databases devices may connect automatically. Allow suggested Wi-Fi networks, no thanks or allow. I'm not even sure what that is. [silence]
88:00
Speaker 1
that you can [silence] allow that. [silence] Uh you can allow it. [silence] Something. [silence] All right. [silence]
89:00

89:00
Speaker 1
[silence] on which Wi-Fi should it be connected? The is it on the main Wi-Fi or the guest? [silence] [silence] did you [silence] create the guest Wi-Fi exactly the same as before? Okay. know Hello. Okay. You, you probably need to restart the generator.
90:00
Speaker 2
Should show under... guests when I go there, shouldn't it? Well, no. It just shows the username and password. Uh... I'll... You know what? I'll figure that... Well, I know I could figure that one out right now just by going here. Oh. Messages. Camp, Discover. Account. Menu. Log out. Well, it appears... It appears to be running. Well, I mean all the information. Let's put it this way. Uh, the the app is running where it controls it. Okay, so... Um... I I I think you've... [silence]
91:00
Speaker 1
Okay. All right. uh, okay. Not a problem
92:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, well the app actually just gives me information. The generator will take care of itself. I'll go back in there and and check on all that here tomorrow, because that only refreshes itself. It's a the generator is a completely automated system, whereas if the power goes down the generator detects it, fires up 10 seconds later. It restores all the power to everything. Uh, so I um, but you've got me up and running and I appreciate your patience. I surely do. You earn your money. So dares me to let you go cuz I just know as soon as I hang up, some disaster is going to happen because that's what it's been all day. Um, but no.
92:00
Speaker 1
All right, that's awesome, sir. You're very much welcome. You're welcome, sir. Bye.
