Speaker 1
Good, good, so I have an NXS system and I'm fairly confident it's likely out of warranty. We've just never had any, any issues until recently. Um, and I'm kind of between a rock and a hard spot because I think the, uh, app that I had was on a tablet that we no longer use and I didn't have it, I don't have any of my information from, from, uh, that on any other devices, so I'm kind of starting from scratch, although I know I have a, a very good system.
01:00
Speaker 2
I'm good sir, thank you for asking. How about you today? That's okay. Mm-hmm. Oh, I see. So, you're trying to set up, again, sir, the link as in system that you OK. so stroyal or number are what maybe you can provide me the serial number the me to down check
01:00
Speaker 1
20J 10 C, Charlie D, Baker, C, Charlie,
03:00
Speaker 2
Sorry, sir. Two zero J 10 C4 Charlie. seven eight one three four. Six seven ... D Immediately repeat the serial number. That is 2 0 J 1 0 C BC 73 eight one three four. OK. So
03:00
Speaker 1
Okay, I have one of three nodes working. Yes. Uh, setup, uh, model. Oh, um, looks like W-H-W 03.
04:00
Speaker 2
and how many do you have sir that is currently working still or that is okay, so you have three nodes in total. okay. what's the model numbers sir for this mode? It's actually not showing on our system. okay.
04:00
Speaker 1
Xfinity. I use. Typically, I use all three nodes. Because of the size of our home. And only one of the three are working. It's blue. Red. Red or orange, whatever you have. Yeah.
05:00
Speaker 2
Hmm. Okay. So, since you have sir, three nodes in total, one is just, one is, one, you will use one node only out of the three. Hm. Okay. What's the LED lights of the one that's working? And then the other two nodes? Red. Okay. Did you reset the other two sir?
05:00
Speaker 1
Yes, yes, Al. What just so you understand what I did yesterday was is I used the link bot to diagnose um everything that it could it could do and it got to the point where I I was told I would have to contact somebody because it couldn't do anything else. I would think so, yes, because it's right next to the router, so I'm going to say yes. Exxacity.
06:00
Speaker 2
okay but just to make sure that I heard you correctly the um one uh one node is solid blue which is I think that is the parent node right okay that is wired to your internet service provider Yes,
06:00
Speaker 1
Yes. [silence] Yes. [silence] We did the link bot actually had me go through at least two or three different iterations. [silence] So, first we did like 10 seconds and did a reset. [silence] We've unplugged the node for two to three minutes, plugged them back in. [silence] Then we did - [silence] one more iteration that I want to say that
07:00
Speaker 2
is that the one that is wired to Xfinity, the one that is solid blue? Okay, so that, yeah, I think it's good to assume that that is the main router or the parent node. And then the two child nodes, so we'll say that is the child nodes there. Those are solid red. Okay. And how long did you press the reset buttons for the other child nodes? Okay.
07:00
Speaker 1
went something like five minutes, and I don't remember the combination of unplugging and then hitting the reset button, but I think, again, the link bot basically went through everything that it could possibly go through. Um, and still stuck with two child nodes that are red. [silence] It's a R G E N T O J E F F S F at Gmail.com. [silence] It's the account holder is it's Jeff Argento, so the J-E-F-F and then the A-R. [silence]
08:00
Speaker 2
Mm-mm. Okay. So let me create a case ticket for, sir, before we move forward with your concern, for record purposes. Can I have, sir, an email? Okay. And first name and last name, sir, for the account holder.
08:00
Speaker 2
Okay, same on the email. Thank you so much, sir. And then is this the best callback number in case the call gets disconnected, the one that ends in 1175? Okay, thank you so much, sir. So yeah, for that one, sir. Since you already, um, tried to reset that one. So usually for this type of device, um, the WHW. 03, this is actually part or, um, of our first generation router. So, um, usually, um, due to its, um, you know, let's consider it, um, due to its old age, usually, um, once you reset this node, um, it will turn as solid red. So it's not the same thing as before where it usually turned as, um, solid purple or like magenta. But for this one,
09:00
Speaker 1
Mm-hmm. Uh, they're fairly close, so I can get to fairly quickly. Yes. Uh, enable or disable. Are you saying, relocate the child nodes maybe closer to the parent node? Oh, they're every bit of one floor apart and probably
10:00
Speaker 2
[silence] We can try to do a hardware check first. So since the parent node is solid blue, so, um the child nodes are near with the parent node, right? Okay, but at least they're on the same location where the parent node is. [silence] Yes, usually sir, um for this one, if you're trying to reconnect them to the parent node, the sug - the suggested distance is at least five feet to the parent node or at least within the same location where the parent node is. How far do you have an estimated figure as how far the child nodes are right now?
10:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] 50, 70 feet. So I'm in the process right now. I'm in the process of right now. I'm going to get, you say, how many feet I need to be, should be to the paint? So I should be as close as five feet or within, okay. Okay, yeah. Oh, five feet would be better. Okay, hold on, I don't know if I can make that happen. Hold on. I think about this. I've got, do I have anything left here? That's a good idea, by the way. I think I've got all of my plugs are plugged in here, so I don't want to use that one. I don't want to unhook anything. Um, I can probably get
11:00
Speaker 2
At least 5 feet, sir. Five feet to the parent node. Yes, four. Um, five feet or within the same location, sir, but, uh, I think five feet would be better. Okay. Okay, that's Good. And then you have the, um, you have the internet connected to the main one, right?
11:00
Speaker 1
slow. And my thoughts were that the reason it's slow is because when you start losing these nodes, that ultimately your signal strength goes down is how I'm thinking. Now, I could be wrong.
13:00
Speaker 2
Well, that's also, yeah, that actually makes sense, sir. However, we have to consider as well that this WHW-03 is actually using Wi-Fi 5. Usually with Wi-Fi 5 technology, that is the old technology that we have before. So right now, like around August of 2025, most of the internet service provider along US, they're actually trying to cope up already with the newer Wi-Fi technology, which is Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7. So for this one, we you ro- you also roll-out a I think the latest firmware version um like two weeks ago.So for this type of model we are it's no longer compatible using the linksys app.You can actually still use this node however uh in terms of monitoring or um changing some settings for this one um um yeah you have to use the web interface where you need to go to a um browser you have to use a browser and then go to myrouter.local that is how you can access this one sir.But in terms of Wi-Fi range um it has a limited Wi-Fi range already since this is Wi-Fi 5But you can actually still use this one.And then in case you're able to connect the other child nodes that will actually help [silence] [silence] like the network. Mm-hmm. More likely say yes. You have to consider as well, um getting a you
13:00
Speaker 1
All right, help answer me this. Question is, is it just a matter of upgrading the router to the 60 that you're talking about? Or is it the equipment itself? Okay. Okay. So the information you were talking about going on the web browser and having to kind of work the backend of this to see if it gets any better. Is that information that you can share with me?
16:00
Speaker 2
or um getting a new one or upgrade to a newer wi-fi technology because wi-fi 6e and wi-fi 7 now is actually much more stable and much um it has the enhanced features already for the wi-fi so it will provide you a much more better wi-fi range and much more better stability in terms of wireless connection well the equipment itself sir because the firmware of this one actually already is outdated
16:00
Speaker 2
yeah I can actually for that one sir usually for out of warranty devices we no longer provide further technical assistance so in terms of that one for the web interface I can share you an email where it will provide you instructions on how you can log into the web interface of the WHW03 so at least that you can use that email as well for future reference it's going to be step-by-step instruction. and then by the way sir for the child node that we move I think that is solid read now or what's the LED light of that oh okay. you can try this one there um this is actually one of the method that is used right now for the WHW03 since Zebra's app is no longer compatible. Um go to the uh let's go to the parent node and then underneath the parent node there is a reset button
17:00
Speaker 1
that the reset button five times okay all right one two three four five okay it went from red to like an orange no just the parent this is the parent okay now the parent node is a green ish
18:00
Speaker 2
1, 2, 3, 4.
18:00
Speaker 1
Brad. No. Same color. Yeah. huh. Yeah, just just lay down. You can lay down. Yeah, it's still red. Still solid. Okay.
19:00
Speaker 2
Okay, and then how about the child node, sir? Do you have any LED change on? They're still solid red? Solid, sir, or blinking? Still solid. Okay. Give it like maybe two minutes. Let's see if the child node will blink red.
19:00
Speaker 1
A bill of salad red. I don't know if two minutes have gone by yet, though. Green. Yeah, like the dream.
20:00
Speaker 2
505 left sir. So, Since it's still solid red and then the parent node is blue again for the parent node, solid green. So for the child node, sir, try to reset the child node.
20:00
Speaker 1
yep. I'm trying to drive like that. okay. so that's true. now. out. okay.
21:00
Speaker 2
press and hold the reset button of the child node at least 30 seconds, please let me know if there's any changes. Once you start by the way, sir, resetting the child node, um the LED light will blink red three times and then it should turn off, and then wait for the um wait wait for the light to turn to solid blue before you let go of the reset. Maybe you can try that one. okay. That will take 30 seconds. okay. Did it turn off, sir? okay, you can let go now, sir, if it's blue. Did the light turn off, sir, once you've [silence]
21:00
Speaker 2
Sorry, did the light turned off before it turns to solid blue? Okay. Okay, and then do the same thing sir on the other child node.
22:00
Speaker 1
Going in and out of, uh, it just came up red. All right. I don't have to plug in a different plug. Bear with me, uh. Yeah, hold on. Hold on. Do this one here. Okay. We're going to call the red button for 30 seconds.
23:00
Speaker 2
Okay. But at least you've already reset that one for 30 seconds. You can do the same thing, sir, on the other child nodes. Same process. [silence]
23:00
Speaker 1
Okay. I'm going to say we're pretty close to 30 seconds. It looks like it it's kind of very slowly blinking a bluish color. So, I'm going to let go of the reset.
24:00
Speaker 2
Okay, this is, the second child node there. Yes, if it's solid blue. Okay. [silence] I haven't.
24:00
Speaker 1
tears, okay, it turned red again, solid, this is correct, and the, and the parent node is the fuchsia or green, whatever you wanna call it,
25:00
Speaker 2
Solid- red, sir, or blinking red? Okay. So, let me set a timer, at least 60 seconds for that one. So, we have two child nodes there that are solid red again. okay so maybe you can try again sir defeat pressure on the parent node a bit do it like a one press for one second
25:00
Speaker 1
okay, so we'll, all right, I'll start it right now. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, letting go. Okay, I won't do that. So far, they're both still green. And the parent is flashing very slowly a deeper blue. Very faint. [silence]
27:00
Speaker 2
okay, and then let's give it some time so let's give it like another three minutes. then let me know if you see any changes on the child node. okay.
27:00
Speaker 1
red, red, okay, we're still reading, the parent is still a very intermittent blue, nothing solid or anything well, yeah, it seems like, a week or so ago, okay, let's hold it,
28:00
Speaker 2
still solid red here. [silence] Okay. By the way, sir, what happened prior to the disconnection of the child nodes? Was there any power outage recently or they just suddenly got disconnected?
28:00
Speaker 1
We've just been very busy with some family matters. Um, like a week, maybe 10, 14 days ago, we noticed where the one child node was Um, that we see kind of walk by every day. Um, all of a sudden was red. Well, we know, we know that that ain't too good. Um, so, um, that's kind of where we're at. Now, I, I can tell you now the parent, the two child nodes are still red. Now the parent is red. Yeap.
29:00
Speaker 2
Polished red sir for the parents. [silence] Okay. Sir, we have like, maybe 30 seconds left. [silence] Okay. And the parent node set.
29:00
Speaker 1
yes yeah yeah okay just unplug it uh it is unplugged now okay I'm going to kill this fire that I just found outside. He was hanging outside. Oh goodness. always something.
32:00
Speaker 2
is solid red? okay let's turn off parent node sir can we turn that one off? you can just unplug it [silence] it's unplugged now sir [silence] okay so I'll set stop timer for three minutes if you need to do something else sir within the three minutes you can take your time okay I'll let you know if it's three minutes already
32:00
Speaker 1
Getting closer. Okey dokey. Okay. Can you go back in? [silence]
35:00
Speaker 2
Just in time, sir. You can plug it back in, now.
35:00
Speaker 1
a very faint blue going in and out. I have some. It's an A-R-R-I-S-R-R. I believe so, yes.
36:00
Speaker 2
okay, by the way sir, are you using a plain modem from Xfinity or um that is a modem router, like a um that's a an RSV surfboard modem? Okay. solid red okay let's give it some time here since we just plugged that one back in
36:00
Speaker 1
[silence] I could go get my laptop. Okay. I'll bear with me. I'm walking up to get it. Shouldn't take me just a second.
38:00
Speaker 2
And by the way, sir, what device do you have currently available right now? Like, uh like laptop, computer, iPad, what what device you have available? [silence] Okay. So, um, yeah, maybe we can try to use that one, sir. Um, maybe we can get your laptop. [silence] While we're waiting. [silence] Okay.
38:00
Speaker 1
okay, I've got my laptop. I'm booting it up. it's still solid red. yes. okay, so I have
40:00
Speaker 2
okay and then the parent nodes are is it still solid red okay, and then once your laptop's type opens up, try to connect to the Wi-Fi of the parent node, [silence] the network must be called VIA,
40:00
Speaker 1
So I'm. No internet access. Uh. Yeah, because I'll, that's let's let me just pull this up manage Wi-Fi connection. Let's just see something. I do not see, my my [silence]
41:00
Speaker 2
So you're connected to the Wi-Fi, but it shows no internet access?
41:00
Speaker 1
No the default Wi-Fi name. uh yes that looks. nine G as in David O 3 N G as in David 0 yes
42:00
Speaker 2
Wi-Fi name. Okay, can you double check, sir, the parent node? Check what's the default Wi-Fi name of the parent node that you have. Yes, underneath, sir. Usually, it will start with velop setup 5, 9, D, 0. Okay. So, try to check, sir, if you can see that one on the Wi-Fi.
42:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Okay. Yes. I do see that. It says, enter password. Okay. Yep. I remember seeing that now. Okay.
43:00
Speaker 2
Ah, okay. Try the Connector on that one. The Wi-Fi password is underneath the parent node.
43:00
Speaker 1
I'm sorry, you're breaking up. Verify reconnecting. It's a- Oh, it's totally faster to me. It says, action needed, no internet, net, open browser and connect. Now, it just, that's that's flips to it's, asking me to connect again. Oh, now, now, now. No, no, no, no, no. That went, to something CFA 97, it's going to other maybe nodes or whatever, I guess. It's still it says action needed, no Internet open browser and connect. Did I open? All right. I'm going to open a browser. Not secure. Link to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi. Something's trying to pull up here. I'm going in between flashing green. Hold on. Every time I think it's it yeah it looks like something's trying to load. It's kind of like [silence]
44:00
Speaker 2
um connect sir and then open a browser yes okay is it loading there okay
45:00
Speaker 1
Okay, yeah my entire screen is flashing like a light blue, dark blue color. I think it's a Smart Wi-Fi. Open a new tab. Okay, I can do that. Ready? My router dot local. That's it? Click on that.
46:00
Speaker 2
Okay. How about this one? Can you open a new tab on the browser that you're using? Okay. All right. And then, um, trysearch Myrouter.local on the address bar. dot local That's it. Okay. I think we probably have to just reconfigure everything, sir, to remove any possible bugs or glitch because I think that the
46:00
Speaker 2
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] The reason why the child knows get disconnected because there was a change happening on the parent node. Probably because that probably because you've mentioned that it I mean, like it was like 10 to 14 days ago, the child node was solid red. So, we we rolled out some updates during that time frame. So, I think there is something on the parent nodes there. So, um, maybe we can just perform a full factory reset on the parent node. Then we'll just set up it again and connect it to the in in um to the internet. Can we press and hold the reset button of the parent node for 30 seconds? Okay. Start now Sir. Yes. And then, let me know if you notice any solid red light. During the all of them. Yeah. Okay. Good. That's great. That means the factory reset was a success. Now you did that. That should be good enough. As soon as it's connected to a router. I think it should work on its own. Yeah. As soon as it connects to a switch, try to reconnect the child nodes. Okay.
48:00
Speaker 1
And then 30 seconds, such. It's very light, but it looks like it is a solid blue right now. Okay. Right now it looks like it's very white, but it's blue and it's not blinking.
49:00
Speaker 2
ok blue on the parent node alright hold it still sir we have like five seconds left then you can let go alright you can let go now sir and let's wait for it to turn to is it blinking blue now or what's the LED light okay
49:00
Speaker 1
I need a darker. I will. As soon as it it still it's still light. My room is kind of bright, even though I have the blinds closed. So it's still [silence]
50:00
Speaker 2
Let me see if the parent node is back to solid red.
50:00
Speaker 1
LOL Thank you How's it going? Oh, wow, so tight. The cast of it was really good. Control, onboard? T-minus ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one, Zero. I did .
51:00
Speaker 2
cent to unplug the one wait for 10 seconds and then plug it back in. Yes, sir. The parent node. Okay and then plug it back in.
53:00
Speaker 1
It's red. That is correct.
55:00
Speaker 2
uh, it's read, okay, let me set a timer for down sir for 60 seconds just to make sure, and then the remaining child Nodes are still solid red, right? okay, and then while we're waiting, sir, double check if your laptop is connected back to vellop setup 9d 0.
55:00
Speaker 1
What? 090. No internet secured. What browser? I think it's the, I don't use this very much, so, I'm pretty sure it's Microsoft Edge. I know it wasn't good, it wasn't good. I don't know.
56:00
Speaker 2
Okay. And then, what browser did you use earlier, by the way? Um, yeah, I, um, did you use Chrome or Microsoft Edge? Okay. Okay. Do you have Chrome or Google Chrome?
56:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] Um, I probably do. Um, let's see here. If I go to, is there anything I shouldn't get out of that would monkey us up? If I like the two, you know, I remember how we tried. I've got two tabs pulled up now. The links is smartwifi.com. Are those still need to be open like I have them? Okay, I'm going to close those tabs and I'm going to go back here and I'm going to go to Google going to Google. Now I should be able to go to Google Chrome somewhere here.
57:00
Speaker 2
No need for you. You can actually close those tabs.
57:00
Speaker 1
Where's Chrome? There it is. Google Chrome. OK, got it. No dart, I don't care, got it. Now what is this [ silence ] Chrome. Web store. Third. Uh-huh. Mayerouter.com.uh.com.
58:00
Speaker 2
just Chrome sir and then on the address bar where you usually type the website um type sir myrouter.local again
58:00
Speaker 1
okay. I did that. it's blinking just like it was before. blue. yeah, yeah, but the the we'll say the angle it isn't doing anything. um, normally you get the little wheel that'll thin or, you want me to just type in HTTP or do you want me to just put in 192? okay,
59:00
Speaker 2
It's blinking. The page is loading, please. How about set the 192.168.1.1 Can you try that one? Uh, directly sir, 192.192.168.
59:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Okay. doing the exact same thing. As what I just mentioned. The, wait a minute. Hold on. Link says smart wifi. It's flashing, the light blue, darker blue, blue. And everything's still red. Yes. Uh-huh. Sure is though.
60:00
Speaker 2
That one. That one. uh okay okay but the it's still blinking like blinking blue right okay
60:00
Speaker 1
Okay, here we go. One, two, three, four, five. Okay, it's kind of an orange this color. Which is a color we haven't seen before. Yep, it's flickering. It very like every second.
61:00
Speaker 2
... while while we're waiting um that one maybe you can try again uh sir five press on that on the parent node uh press the reset the parent node five times not too fast not too slow just a minimum amount of speed one press per 1 second interval Okay. Is it like kind of a blinking? Okay.
61:00
Speaker 1
Steve Michael: Is my connection, uh oh, I'm seeing something with the internet doing something. She's appearing. Steve Michael: Oh, it looked promising. It's still flashing orange. Steve Michael: These child knows are still red. Steve Michael: Okay, now it's we've went to a real light green and back to orange, I mean the white green I I turned away from it just for a second, but I did catch a glimpse of it, and it went back to orange. And it's still flashing. Steve Michael: Okay, now it's now it's a solid green, Steve Michael: http
62:00
Speaker 2
okay nah okey eh sir so it's trying to communicate with your internet service provider so let's give it another three minutes Okay. And then the child node ser, how's the child node so far? Is it still solid red? Okay. Okay. All right, I'll put you in on hold sir for like 2 to 3 minutes, let me just double check something here, okay? Okay. Thank you so much. [silence]
62:00
Speaker 1
You can maybe do it. You can manually do it. Al, all right? So we're going to go, I'm pulling, it up, no internet secured, but it says disconnect. So I'm assuming if I just go to Google, right? I can, I should be, able to just go to Google.
66:00
Speaker 2
Hello, sir. Hi, sir. Thank you for waiting. Um, is it still solid green for the parent node? Okay. Can you check, sir, if you have internet using the Velop setup 9 0. Can you check - can we check on your laptop? Maybe you can try to access any website where you often visit. Mm-hmm. often visit. Try to search something. Okay. Okay. Okay, that's good. And then the parent, and then the child, no, sir. Did they remain solemn? did they remain solid red? um, okay. um, on the... let's go back sir to Chrome and then on Chrome, there's a three dots on the upper left hand, sorry, upper right hand corner. oh, okay. what browser are you using here? ah, okay. yes.
67:00
Speaker 1
Microsoft uh. Hope I can right click to find out or not. I have no idea. uh, Microsoft Edge, like you said earlier. Stay with me. All right. Microsoft Edge. Yep. Right. I got it. I just called it up. Yep. In private browser. [silence]
70:00
Speaker 2
I'm still with you, seriously. Um, what browser are we using now? Okay. Try searching in private window. I think you have an option for Microsoft Edge to use in private window. Um, there is like a Thank you. Okay, and then try again. Okay. And then try again, sir, the, um, try again the 192.168.192.
70:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Okay, now we're getting a little bit of different, okay, sign in, access Velma. A-D-M-I-N sign in waiting, waiting is doing something. Okay. All right, so I have a list or a suite of things I can do it looks like.
71:00
Speaker 2
That one, that one, okay, do you remember, sir? Oh, sorry, maybe you can try admin, all lower case. Correct. Sign in. So I think you can now see smart unit's Smart Wi-Fi. Is that the option?
71:00
Speaker 1
I can see Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tool and then network status, Linksys home networking, Wi-Fi settings, yes. It says the device router, Internet two connections with green check mark.
72:00
Speaker 2
Okay, that's good. So, you're able to log in now, sir, to the page. So, under network status, sir, do you have two check marks and is it saying connected? That's good. Okay. So, I want you to scroll down, sir, on that boxes. on the lower part of the that is the web interface where you can configure or monitor for your router. So, that is where you can make advanced configurations. But for now, try to scroll down. Check if you can see end user license agreement.
72:00
Speaker 1
Went, last, all, rights, your, of, right and, provider, authority and, carnley, critical, no, no, yes, on the, the, no, so, right, three.
73:00
Speaker 2
Okay. And then on the lower right corner sir. You have CA. Charlie Alpha. [silence] below. [silence] just beside the End User License Agreement. [silence] Privacy Statements. [silence] Third Party Licensors. [silence] U Cal Privacy Policy. And CA. [silence] There's no Charlie Alpha. [silence]
73:00
Speaker 1
And user license, privacy, third-party license, I EGULA, privacy policy that are all light blue in color. After that, there's nothing else that I can see. All right, router. Router, where am I going to see that? Router settings, connectivity. All right, I've just clicked that. Okay, I've got
74:00
Speaker 2
okay, uh, the. uh, settings, on the left side panel, uh, try it. Yes, connectivity. and then, okay, so you'll have service basic internet settings, local network, advanced routing administration, and then beside administration, do you see
74:00
Speaker 1
I do. I do. I do C A: 07. Okay. All right. Done. Okay. It says your master node is now configured. Add wired child nodes. Uh, and that is listed next and then below that, it says add wireless child nodes. And then if you went to a new column, um, you can see that it's written, but it's not dark. It says done adding child nodes. Add. All right, I'm going to click that one. Okay. Now the done adding child nodes highlight dark. So,
75:00
Speaker 2
like the CA Router Set up or the voop router. Ah okay. Okay. So select the CA Router Set up. and then let me know what are your options there. Select the Add Wireless Child Node. Click that one once then [silence]
75:00
Speaker 1
It's like you quit, done adding child nodes and then go to the next one. Both child nodes are still orange and it are not blinking. Red, red, red, red, red, red.
76:00
Speaker 2
Ah, not yet, sir. So since you just clicked the add wireless child nodes, try to double check, sir, and then observe the child nodes, if the LED light is blinking. orange, sir, or red? Okay. Let me set timer for 60 seconds if there's going to be changes. If not, then I think we'll have to do one last reset, sir, for the child nodes.
76:00
Speaker 1
both nodes are still solid regular.
77:00
Speaker 2
Is it? All right, so do one last reset there for the child node. You can choose either of the child nodes you'd like to start. Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds.
77:00
Speaker 1
OK. You got some time ready? I'm starting now. It did and now black. It's white and blue that we spoke about before. OK. I just let it go and it's a white blue and it's uh intermittently flashing.
78:00
Speaker 2
Yep, you can let go of the reset button now.
78:00
Speaker 1
It's don't click anything on the browser. okay. I'll tell you want to start refind it. I'm sorry. I'm starting now. It's like it's turned off. last a couple times it looks like it's off. okay if you saw with the blue.
79:00
Speaker 2
Okay, give it some time do the same thing on the other child node. Yeah, do not click anything yet on the browser. Okay, let me know if you start pressing the reset button sir of the second child node. OK. [silence] Yeah. We have like seven seconds. Did it
79:00
Speaker 1
Okay. I did that. Well, the one first one child mode is red. Okay.
80:00
Speaker 2
Okay, you can let go sir, just in time. Okay, and then we'll have to wait for it to turn back to solid red sir for both child nodes. Okay, so we'll just wait for this one.
80:00
Speaker 1
What was the sicular red?
81:00
Speaker 2
All right. So let's go back Third to the page to the links of smart wi-fi page. Uhm What do you have there now? Okay. Okay. And then do you have an option?
81:00
Speaker 1
Well, the one that we had, yeah, both those are still there. One I clicked on before we did the reconfiguration or reset, but I've not clicked on the one that's highlighted after I did that is done adding child nodes. Okay, that's exactly what happened. Now, both add child nodes are both highlighted. I did.
82:00
Speaker 2
Okay. Select, saturday, I'm done adding child notes. And then let me know if it will highlight again the add wireless child note. Okay. Select your add wireless child node again. All right. And then let's wait for 30 seconds. Let's observe if there's going to be changes with the LED lights.
82:00
Speaker 1
Nothing yet Yes Five times on the reset button Okay One two three four
83:00
Speaker 2
um, okay, so it since it's already 30 seconds and three, make the remains solid red, right? Hmm, okay. So try the the last option. Um, do the five press again on the parent node. not yes. It's a button of the parent node. Five times. Not too fast, not too slow. Okay. And by the way Sir do you have like an extra Ethernet cord or like a cable? For the parent node. Okay. And then the child nodes are still the same. Okay.
83:00
Speaker 1
people I do not see anything I'm sorry and the parents still great Yep both are still great
85:00
Speaker 2
That's fine, sir. Okay. And then the child nodes are still okay. Okay, so for that one, sir, um, let's rename first, while, while, um, while we give it more time,
85:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Are you moving it? Okay. PSP settings. Okay. All right. I have that pulled up. Okay. Wi-Fi name. Yes.
86:00
Speaker 2
Maybe we can maybe we can go back sir, you can hit okay, by the way sir, on the page that you have right now. Right. And then it will route you back to Smart Wi-Fi tool router settings. Goto Wi-Fi settings. Okay, so for Wi-Fi settings sir, you have Wi-Fi name, right? Okay. You can by the way sir, you can delete or remove the Belop setup 900 and then rename it back to your old Wi-Fi name and Wi-Fi password, so most of your devices will automatically reconnect.
86:00
Speaker 1
Okay, so say that one more time. Just to make sure. I have 2D0390. I have one that says 2.4Ghz, I guess, band. And two that say 5Ghz, band. All with the VELOS up N9D0. [silence]. Which one of those are you saying I should change? [silence]. Joe last. Joe last. [silence]. Oh, Joe. Joe with, [silence] it, I don't know. It says Joe last. Wi-Fi channels. [silence].
87:00
Speaker 2
Do you have an option, sir, to with the 2.4 and 5 gah bands, do you have an option to show less or no? Yes, select, yep, less, 'Show less.' Yes, sir. Like a hyperyah, perlink that's says 'Show less.' [silence]
87:00
Speaker 1
Wi-Fi mode, broadcast, Wi-Fi mode, channel, channel width. That's that's w W I F I name password security mode broadcast Wi-Fi mode channel channel width. Same there. The next one everything's the same. Then all I've got is um okay, cancel or apply. Sign out of what we're in now. Yep. Yep. I just signed out. This is waiting. Okay. Now I'm back at access.
88:00
Speaker 2
below that one server. below the 5G. okay, all right. can you try sir to sign out? sign out, yes sign out of where we're in right now scroll up and then you have an option to sign out on the upper right hand corner of the page.
88:00
Speaker 1
It says access velop and then there's a box that the cursor's blinking in that says router password. ABC, M, I, N, sign in, Okay. We are. I can still see the two point four and I can see two five,
89:00
Speaker 2
<start_of_audio> Then. So- Sorry, sir. Access Velup or access router? Another one. Okay. Um, ad sir ad ad in, all lower case again. A D M I N. sign in, Yes. All right. And then, Are we back now to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools? Okay. Go back to Wi-Fi settings. Let me know if you can still see the 2.4 and five. Okay. A- Okay. Okay. Okay. Uh-huh. Choose the one that has a lot of available bar for the signal. Okay. All right. Okay. Let's pick 2.4 first. Okay. Are you back in Wi-Fi settings? Uh-huh. Okay. Go back to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi.
89:00
Speaker 1
No, I just see, um, no. I can only see okay, cancel and apply. Just let me just, I see end user license agreement, privacy statement, third-party licenses, Ocala privacy policy and then, yeah, that's it. Okay, absolutely. Yeah, I did, I'm ready.
90:00
Speaker 2
okay below the Wi-Fi password they're under the five gigahertz um do you have do you see hyperlink that says show less or none you can just see okay cancel and apply okay okay can you open sir a regular um can you open a regular tab um not the in private window just the regular Microsoft Edge uh minimize this one okay and then same things they tried
90:00
Speaker 1
Okay, let's wait. Thumbs up, access develop, lincoln Box router, password. Do our admin again, okay, signing in. Okay, save your password, your password will auto fill the next time and we'll be saved. I don't think I need that. Okay, now go back up to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools. Okay, I'm there and it's pulling up.
91:00
Speaker 1
2.4 and 5 Gigahertz, yes. Same. Same. Same. Same. Same. Same. [silence] Everything is the same. Now there are the tabs that are at the top, wireless, Mac filtering, WiFi protector, setup, advanced. None of that has any relativity to our conversation, right? Okay.
92:00
Speaker 2
No, sir. So for we we have to stick on wireless. And then it's still [silence] 2.4 and 5? Okay. Um try to rename that one sir same name for the 2.4 and 5 gigahertz including the password. Um rename sir, rename it to your old wifi name that you've been using before.
92:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Uhm. All three of them changed the Wi-Fi name. I can see there's one that says Wi-Fi name 900 2.4. There's one that says 5. There's another block 5 gigahertz Vellup setup 900. And then there's a third band. It there's like the first one has GHz1. The second one has 5 GHz2 band. [silence]
93:00
Speaker 2
yes sir are you um sorry all three how many bands can you see sir okay okay okay um what what what what's your phone that you're using sir what's the phone that you're using right now
93:00
Speaker 1
the phone I'm on right now is a Verizon Android. I can try. I'm pretty sure I'm...please hold on. If I don't, if I don't, I can open anything I've got. Oh... just look... If I went to Lynks this customer service contact us and I can just say open in Chrome, lynks get in touch global headquarters. Okay, so I'm in Chrome. [silence]
94:00
Speaker 2
[silence] Android. Okay. Do you have Chrome Sir on Android? Maybe we can use Chrome. [silence] Okay. And then on Chrome Sir, go to the address bar where you usually type the website. the in the search bar so just the address bar and then type the 192 dot 168 that one that one okay [silence]
94:00
Speaker 1
yep yep Okay now this doesn't look like y'all's page here so am I in the wrong place? all I can see is it's like a router configuration center. No it's probably running off Verizon wireless. I don't think I'm comfortable with this one
96:00
Speaker 2
so what, uh, what do you see there, sir? Are your phones connected into the parent node or to the dev setup or no? Ah, okay. I see. Yeah, let's, let's just pause on that one. So, um, yeah, let's go back sir to your laptop and then, um just rename, sir, the, name that you can see or the bands that you can see on the screen.
96:00
Speaker 1
You want me to change the network name, Wi-Fi name to what it was, right? The wee, okay. So I'm just okay. Okay. Now, both five, I'm changing or just one of the two five. Okay. And then you're also saying that I want Wi-Fi name.
97:00
Speaker 2
on your Wi-Fi settings for the 2.4 ghz and 5 gigahertz one and the other 5 ghz. yes [silence] and then also the Wi-Fi password there. you can use the old Wi-Fi password that you associated with that wi-fi name before. uh you can change both five sir.
97:00
Speaker 1
and then as far as the Wi-Fi password that needs to be the password for my original personal Wi-Fi name all three of them okay oh hold on I just oh-on oh hold on hold on I just saw it smell. So, as you see this
98:00
Speaker 2
correct all three of them serious okay and then okay
98:00
Speaker 1
Okay, apply or okay? You're updating Wi-Fi settings? I'm going-to say yes. Your router is applying changes. I should say okay. Okay.
99:00
Speaker 2
Uh-bhai. Uh-bhai. Yes. Yes, sir. And then your laptop will be disconnected, but we'll just have to reconnect it back to the network. So you will no longer be able to see develop set up 9D0. It should be the old Wi-Fi name that you have.
99:00
Speaker 1
All right, I'm going into networks, Wi-Fi settings. Okay, I see my network. Wait a minute.
100:00
Speaker 2
Okay. And then go to the wi-fi settings. Okay. Select the one and then connect. [silence]
100:00
Speaker 1
And tell them what? Okay. Alice says it cannot connect to this network. Oh. And I'm plugging that this does the same thing, right? I did.
101:00
Speaker 2
Try to turn off Wi-Fi, Sir leave it off for at least 10 seconds then turn it back on. Uh just turn off the WiFiSir on your laptop. No need to unplug the router. Did you unplug the router? That's fine. Okay. Give it like 10 seconds then plug it back in.
101:00
Speaker 1
who did too much stuff. Well, yeah, I know. I'm just waiting for it to cycle on that controller, I suppose the made the rule wonder flashing red. See, I don't remember if I had to I don't think. So you're saying to turn the turn the Wi-Fi off. Still. Okay, parent node, yeah, parent node's plugged in, it's still brick, now it's red. But, I don't have to, I don't have to watch like I can, I don't have a Wi-fi connection right now because I'm plugged around it takes three or four minutes. Any way I can Okay, do do I need to, um do I need anything open on my laptop right now so far, I can get out of the link where we were and I changed the Wi-fi password and Wi-fi name. I'll leave it like it Okay.
102:00
Speaker 2
No, sir, plug in, sir, the parent node. Okay. Okay. Yes. Yao. Let We'll just have to wait for the parent, no, sir, to turn to solid green. Um, for now, no, we'll just have to wait, sir. For now, let's leave it as it is for now. For the page. And then if it's still gonna be the same, sir, even if we change the Wi-Fi name and then the child node can still be added, I think it would [silence]
103:00
Speaker 1
okay. and an Ethernet cord is what typically looks like it's, I mean I've got like in the browser I've got a cable it looks like what I would call cable and then it's got like a um another wire that has like the thing that connects into the bottom of the valve on the other end. um, like an old jack of some sort. Is that the right word or?
104:00
Speaker 2
It will be best if we can get an Ethernet cord, because the last option for this one is to connect it wired, so the parent node will be able to detect it. If wired connection is still the same, probably there is a hardware issue already with the child node. Um, sorry, say?
104:00
Speaker 1
Okay. A cable just like that is what you're saying. Okay. So,
105:00
Speaker 2
Like, the same cable, sir, that you use between the RS router, uh, sorry, RS modem going to the parent node. So yes, a cable just like that. So all you just need to do is um wired it to the um, from the parent node going to the child node, so once you find, sir, a cable, um, I will, by the end of this phone call, if we can't add it wireless, then um, I'll send you an email on how you can wired it, um, what's going to be the um, instructions or step-by-step process on that one, and then you can just follow it using, um, once you find, sir, an ethernet cable, okay?
105:00
Speaker 1
Okay so I got green on the, green on the, parent node, yes. Okay it shows like it's connected with a lock on it, but it says no internet security, that's why I say should I, I, I'm not, yeah, wifi network password, I don't know if I'm, what I'm looking at, connect got away in range.
106:00
Speaker 2
parent node? okay. and then try to it to connect to the WiFi. to the new Wi-Fi name. What's the WiFi name, Sir? Is it the Wi-Fi name, that you changed it to or still developed? set up? okay.
106:00
Speaker 1
That's gotta be within range. um it says disconnect. So if I'm looking at something that says disconnect, I'm assuming that it means connect. It's connected, but I don't know how how am I gonna tell if it's connected? connecting.
107:00
Speaker 2
speaking. Well, if it's saying Disconnect, Extra Czech, probably you're actually already connected, but just to make sure we can click disconnect and then it will say connect. So, once you click connect, it will ask for the Wi-Fi password of the um-Wi-Fi that you have created.
107:00
Speaker 1
Yeah. Uh, each browser. Um, what same browser now? Oh. Can you see if I can pull that up again?
108:00
Speaker 2
OK. that's fine, sir. And then use the same browser. And then on the same browser, try, sir, to access website. the Microsoft Edge, sir. where you had the 192.168. yes. Or
108:00
Speaker 1
okay, hold on. uh add a tab. i'll do well fargo. yeah, i may have pulled well fargo back up again the bank. so no, i still have the links fish Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tab hold up where i changed the i can edit on the internet. on the Wi-Fi settings. yes, i can still see it.
109:00
Speaker 2
Okay. So, we still have Internet connection. Okay. Okay. And then, but you have, but you can see the new Wi-Fi name, sir, right? Um, on the Wi-Fi settings. Okay, that's good. You can hit okay, by the way, sir on that one.
109:00
Speaker 1
yep. I'm there. I'm there. it's saying waking. okay, I'm there. Uh, I can see them. it says link. this is three, eight, one, four, eight. And it says online. it shows two other things online called sonos and then my laptop online.
110:00
Speaker 2
So we can go back to the main dashboard where you can see network status, the links is home networking or Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools. Okay, and then select your device list. And then, okay. Okay. Alright, so for your networks here, can you see the child nodes there or no? Or what devices can you see? Okay. Okay. So there's so the other, WHW03, it's not there right.
110:00
Speaker 1
Just one, well, one thing that says link the Sonos doesn't have anything to do with it, does it? Yeah. Right. So it's just the link to 38148, it's the only thing I see. And it just shows one of, you know, picture of a node, let's say. Click okay and go back to okay. Um, router sets. Okay. And go to [silence] Samantha.
111:00
Speaker 2
No, sorry. Sonos. I think you have a Sonos speaker. Okay, so that's the parent node. Yeah. Go back. to connectivity again. And then C-A router setup. Yes. Just hit OK. Yes. C-A router setup.
111:00
Speaker 1
I'm on Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools again. No. OK, hold on. So I'm at the wi-fi that I have set up. OK. And what am I looking for? OK, how come I. Am I supposed to be on a tab doing this, or you're saying, 'cause you and I have been doing real good, now all of a sudden you got me. Oh, geez. [silence]
112:00
Speaker 2
smart under router settings go to connectivity again CA router setup sir under connectivity so you have you have basic sorry refresh this oh sorry
112:00
Speaker 1
Wi-Fi settings, guest access parental control linksys own networking network status that's not what you said, not that. yes. you want me to go where? okay. i just, that's what I'm saying, i missed it so. okay I'm there. yep. yep.
113:00
Speaker 2
you can see Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools, router settings
113:00
Speaker 1
I did, okay? [silence] okay, just before I do that. So, again, what I've got pulled up right now, the first one that we, we, when we first went through this, it said add wire child, add wire child nodes and then we clicked on done adding child nodes, which that's where it's at right now. The only option I have is the add wire child node below the first one that's on top. I just want to make sure when I click that, that's what you want me to do. Okay. Okay. I did it and there, the, parent node was flashing orange. The two kids
114:00
Speaker 2
And then select again the, um, select again the, the, the add wireless child node. Yes. Okay. So let.
114:00
Speaker 1
Child nodes, yeah, I know we gotta wait, but two child nodes are still red. Now, since I did that, the add wireless child node that was, that kinda accepted me clicking on it, has gone from being able to hit it again, to I can hit it again, and the done adding is still where I can click it again. The parent node has gone, is back to green. And the the the two child nodes are, are still red.
115:00
Speaker 2
Mhm. Okay. Okay. Okay but the child nodes here are still solid red. Okay. I think our last option for this one sir is to really hardwire them and then um, so, later um, what will probably have to do sir is once you find a cable available , so, you have to do them one at a time. So, you have to start first with one child.
115:00
Speaker 1
I don't know that I understood all that but all right. So let's just let's go back to I had a functional system before we started our conversation. And basically, um I had I had wi-fi. It wasn't the best wi-fi, but I had wi-fi. Okay. Now now where am I at because if I don't have wi-fi, I've got a couple other devices that run my home that I need wi-fi. Um so, so
116:00
Speaker 2
child node connect it via wire directly to the parent node and then access this 192.168.1.1 same page and then see a router setup and then instead of selecting add wireless child node, you have to select the add wired child node. [silence] [silence] Okay.
116:00
Speaker 1
I don't, I'm not worried about having, I mean, I was just trying to enhance our position back to what we had here. originally. And right now I'm very uncomfortable that when you and I hang up, that's not how, I'm not going to have Wi-Fi service. If that, am I saying that correct? Okay. there's only one other thing I can do here. Well, maybe there's two things I can do. A tablet would do it, right?
117:00
Speaker 2
Yes, you're actually saying that one correctly, sir. However, since your laptop, your laptop is connected to the same wi-fi name that you have created earlier and then we have internet connection. Just to make sure, just to make sure you can try other device. Let's connect it to the same wi-fi name and then let's see if they're working. So we can make sure that there is really internet.
117:00
Speaker 1
And I also have my house on Wi-Fi for my heating and air conditioning. I don't know how easy that is. Okay. Failed to connect. All right, let's see this connects and we're going to go. Oh my own sweet thing. I'm hoping we get wheezy set up here on this getting address. No, I'm connecting to the internet. This thermostat is online. So that yes, yes. Okay, so we still have Wi-Fi and then you're going to email me the instructions on how to do the ethernet, um adaptation of, okay.
118:00
Speaker 2
... okay, and that is connected to the same Wi Fi name right? for the parent node? okay, that's it, yes, the, [silence] yeah, the ethernet connection Transcribe this audio from the right channel. Output only the spoken words, no labels or timestamps. If there is silence or no speech, output only: "[silence]" And then, if it's still going to be the same sir, using wired, I'm also going to provide it on the email on how you can do the recovery reset for each node. So, I'll I'll lay out everything there on the email so at least we'll give you the step-by-step once you have find an ethernet cable. But so far for the parent node. The parent node is actually working still, that's good. So, I think we just need to make sure on the child nodes because if it's still going to be the same after the recovery reset, so more likely there's already a hardware issues for the child nodes. But hopefully they'll be able to connect using the wired connection since that is the last option and then the recovery reset. So, um, maybe give give me sir five minutes.
119:00
Speaker 1
Okay, perfect. Perfect. No, no. No, thank you. Thank you. That's good. I wish we would have had all the luck we we'd we'd we needed but, hey, that's okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yes, I understand.
121:00
Speaker 2
after this phone call I'll send it to the Gmail that you actually provided me earlier. Okay, all right. And thank you so much for spending more likely two hours doing the possible troubleshooting, but still we are unable to connect the cell node, but thank you so much for your patience. I totally appreciate your patience. Yeah, Yeah, well, thank you so much. And then, if you Maybe I could also send you some of the articles for the newer models. So, I'll send it to the email so at least you can check newer models for Linksys, if you're still considering Linksys for an upgrade, okay? because of the outdated firmware for the WHW03. And then, it would be best as well to, you know, maximize the um the subscription that you're actually paying for with, um your internet service provider. So, yeah, I guess, I guess that would be all for now. See? Or if you have any follow-up questions for me. You're welcome, sir. Thank you so much again, sir, for your time. And you have a great day still. Okay? You take care. Thank you, sir. Bye bye for now.
121:00
