V2 Grader Summary

The agent correctly diagnosed the issue, used appropriate tools, and guided the customer through configuration steps. However, the customer never confirmed successful application of settings, and no follow-up commitment was made, preventing full confirmation of resolution. Technical accuracy was maintained, including correct handling of SPNM6x default password guidance.

V1 Case Analysis

Customer wanted to change the router admin password and enable a guest network but was confused about using the Linksys app. Agent confirmed the SPNM60TB does not support the app and instructed the customer to access the router via http://myrouter.info, navigate to the Incredible Wi-Fi tab, change the Wi-Fi password, toggle the guest network, and save. The agent also explained 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz bands and guest network limitations. No confirmation was obtained that the customer successfully logged in or saved changes.

Troubleshooting Steps
  • Verified serial number of the main node (SPNM60TB)
  • Confirmed the router does not support the Linksys app and directed the customer to use http://myrouter.info
  • Guided the customer to change the Wi-Fi password and enable the guest network via the Incredible Wi-Fi tab
  • Explained 2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz bands and guest network limitations
Key Observations
  • Agent provided the correct URL (http://myrouter.info) and accurate instructions for password and guest network configuration per the KB.
  • Agent did not confirm whether the customer successfully logged in or saved changes.
  • Router model (SPNM60TB) was inferable from the serial number but was never explicitly stated or confirmed.
  • Agent did not verify that the customer could access the web UI before proceeding with configuration steps.
Positive Highlights
  • Correctly identified that the SPNM60TB does not support the Linksys app and redirected the customer to the correct web UI (http://myrouter.info).
  • Provided accurate default admin password location and correct local access URL.
  • Gave accurate instructions for changing the Wi-Fi password and enabling the guest network.
  • Clearly explained the differences between 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and guest network limitations.
Agent Errors / Gaps
  • Did not verify that the customer could log into the web UI before proceeding with configuration steps.
  • Did not explicitly confirm the router model (SPNM60TB), despite it being inferable from the serial number.
  • Did not confirm whether the customer successfully saved changes or if the guest network was active.
  • Did not provide a concise recap of the steps at the end of the call.

Pleas remain on the line for assistance. calling link. My name is Josh. How may I assist you today? [silence] You say you want to change the Lynx system. Are you referring to the Lynx app? I see. Got this one sir. And don't worry, we're so sure that I will walk you through how to log into the Lynx app. So before we proceed sir, is this your first time calling us? this is your first time? I would need to create a record for your first, okay? So may I have the serial number of the parent or main node? the serial number. No, sir, it can be found underneath the device itself. I'm sorry, sir, I'm afraid that's not the one. It can, when I say the main or parent node, sir, that's the white tower, the one that, that is plugged into your, yeah, modem. No worries. Yes, sir, that's correct.
00:00
Speaker 1
uh serial number okay uh it's a bit long L K six zero T B five Q two six zero one nine five four six uh Yeah I just have the one
02:00
Speaker 2
Yes, sir. All right. Thank you very much for that one sir. So, let me verify again the serial number of the main node. So, it's L for Lima, K for Kilo, 6 0, T for Tom, B for Bravo, 5, Q for Quebec, 2 6 0 1 9 5 4 6. Is that correct? And how many nodes again or how many links devices do you have?
02:00
Speaker 1
The tall tower and then the like the flat square. Christian Mejia. M E J I A. Uh, Mejia underscore Christian 1711. Yahoo.com.
03:00
Speaker 2
All right, thank you so much for that one. And may I have your first and last name? I'm sorry, how do you spell your last name? Uh-huh, thank you so much for that one. And who's your uh sorry. May I also have your email address? All right, thanks so much for that, messenger. So yeah, regarding with your query, sir, for this one, I'm gonna set your expectation that this device or this router of yours is not compatible with the Nexus app. However, rest assured that we can still manage the router by accessing its web user interface. So,
03:00
Speaker 1
Oh, wait, what? But from the from the small paper that I received, it says access your settings with Linksys. [silence] Oh, so I ca- I don't have Linksys or I ca- I can't use it on Linksys, is that right? Oh. Yeah, go for it.
04:00
Speaker 2
do you have a computer that is currently connected? Yeah, sir. I, yes, sir. Linksys now refers to the, like, when we log in into the web user, interface using your phone or a computer. Uh, so uh, if you are referring to the Linksys app, yes, sir. I really do apologize, but this new model is not compatible with the Linksys app. However, again, rest assured. so for this one, sir, to manage this router, we need to log in using the web user interface and I can walk you through on how to do it. Yes, thank you so much. And again, you have a computer that is currently connected to their router.
04:00
Speaker 1
Yeah, yeah. I'm connected by the Ethernet, so it should be okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh! Oh! We're trying to route to password. I'm guessing this is just a normal thing. Right?
05:00
Speaker 2
Amazing. So on that computer, kindly open a browser and in the address bar, like the upper search bar, kindly type in http://myrouter.info. Yes. And what are the, uh, I'm sorry, sir, what are the options? You can see on the screen. Yes, sir. For the router password, the default password is the one labeled underneath the router itself.
05:00
Speaker 1
um okay so I can only ask you this is gonna be so tricky oh my browser it's saving your configuration and checking for software updates Very. clicking.
06:00
Speaker 2
No worries. Just take your time. Yes, sir. And don't worry. We're sure that you can still log in into the web user interface using your phone. However, on your phone, you need to use a browser like Chrome or Safari if you're using an iPhone. I should say, alright. So, were you able to log in? Ah, got that one. And don't worry. Just let me know once you are on the home screen. And you mentioned earlier that you want to change some settings and may I know what are those kind of settings where that you wanted to change?
06:00
Speaker 1
No, it's just a password. Like, I just don't want the admin password to be the same as the Wi-Fi password. And if possible, I want to set up a guest account or a guest internet. Sure. Taking a bit of time. Is it meant to take long? Oh, it's updating. Okay, fine. Yeah, it says it's saving my configuration and checking for software updates. So I and the tall box is currently blue and blinking.
07:00
Speaker 2
Got that one. Uhuh. No worries. So again, just let me know once you're on the home screen because I'm gonna walk you through and how to enable the guest Wi-Fi for this one. Thank you. It should take at least one to two minutes, sir. So are you referring to the firmware, like it's updating the firmware as of the moment? I see.
07:00
Speaker 1
[Silence] [Silence] Just the religion Christian.
08:00
Speaker 2
I see. Ah yeah, currently this router is still booting up because it could be, it could be possible that the firmware has been updated since our routers, including this one, will reboot after the firmware update. So yeah, for now, let's just wait for it's light to turn back to solid green. Okay? Thank you so much. And by the way, sir, your first name, which is Christian, is spelled as CHRIS-tin, correct? Richardson, all right. Thank you so much for confirming. Yeah, so I assume you are already on the incredible Wi-Fi screen. [silence]
08:00
Speaker 1
2 GHz band 1 gigahertz band 5 gigahertz band guest Wi-Fi night mode privacy yep in there's a Wi-Fi okay this is where to change a password [silence] okay
09:00
Speaker 2
Okay, great. So awesome. So on that screen, tap the menu icon or click the menu icon like on the upper top, and then click on the incredible Wi-Fi tab. Uh-huh. That's correct. So yeah, if you went to change the Wi-Fi password, just click the add that icon and enter your new password. And same goes for the guest network, sir. Just toggle it on and then enter your credentials for the guest network. And make sure to press save like on the bottom of that screen so that your new settings or your new information will be saved on the router. Thank you. Yes sir. Also, this network is designed for smart devices that are not compatible with the 5 gigahertz. So when I say smart devices, We are referring to the like smart TV, smart light bulb, like smart uh door ring or doorbell. However, for the 5 gigahertz, uh uh, this is the uh, faster band and we recommend connecting your computer, your phone, your iPad, tablet to the network. However, it is shorter, or it broadcasts shorter signal than the 2.4. So, yeah, don't worry about the bad or because your router is one of our mesh devices, that means by default, uh it broadcasts this both of these band, but they are merged into one. So, your phone or laptop will automatically connect to the 5 gigahertz band if they are near to it.
09:00
Speaker 1
Okay, because I, well the the route is directly in front of [silence] of the the PC at the moment. So I'm guessing that's still getting like the fastest speed possible of the [silence] our internet. Oh, I see. Okay, so just just to confirm, 2.4 gigahertz is the slower one, 5 gigahertz is the faster one but shorter range. [silence] Are you sure? Um, [silence] and there's a guess why then. Okay.
12:00
Speaker 2
Yes, that's correct, sir. However, in the future, if you want to separate the band, don't worry. All you have to do is login again into the Linksys Now web user interface and then just rename either of the bands like their WiFi name, so that you can manually connect a device to either of the networks. That's correct, sir. Uh-huh. And for the guest WiFi or guest network, that feature is recommended to connect your guest to that band or network.
12:00
Speaker 1
Okay then. No, I think that's it. What do you call it? License Admin...oh, do I need to be connected to the internet to be able to see all of these options? Or can I connect-I'm sorry, can I edit these how I can edit outside of my house?
13:00
Speaker 2
Since all the devices that are connected to that network won't be able to to access or login into the web user interface. since the devices that are connected to the guest network have a different IP address range. Yes, sure. So, do you have like further questions or like clarifications regarding with your new router, sir? [silence] Yes, sir. Unnotice sir, since this router does not have a remote access. So, to manage or login into the web user interface, your device really should be connected You are most welcome, sir. And for like in the future, if you need further assistance, just feel free to give us a call. Okay? So rest assured that we are always happy here to assist you. Yes, sir. [silence] That's correct. I am. recorded in Lake. Oh, you're. Yeah, I really do apologize, sir. We're not allowed to pick up late. Yeah. Wait, you're in the what part are you in the UK right now, sir? you're welcome that's great to know yes sir I'm in Mindanao like Cagayan de Oro yes yes sir so again thank you yes thank you so much sir and of course kindly call us back if you need further assistance regarding this router again sir thank you so very much thank you again for calling Link sisters so have a okay bye bye for now take care
