[silence]. I have a 2008 Office for Mac, and I'm trying to load it on um another Mac that I've got a newer one because my older one crashed and every time I plug it into the USB port uh I just get a message of that the um well actually I should be calling. I'm trying to load it on my computer and each time I plug it into a USB port I get a message of and I'm not having the message up here now. That it is a powered device. Um this is a disk drive that I'm trying to hook up to a Mac. Had it hooked up before. Um but it it says it's uh it to have a powered, it's a powered unit. I need to plug it into a USB port. So I've plugged it into every USB port on my Mac. And uh I don't, I still can't get the disc drive to work. It's an external disc drive. Do you have any basic information on how I can um, what it means by power disc drive? I even ordered a um, a powered hub um that plugs into the wall along with having a USB port that plugs into my computer. And uh it's still giving me the same um, the same message. But it it this powered hub has also uh a wall adapter that I plug into the wall for AC current. And uh, I'm trying to get my Microsoft Office for Mac um to load on my machine because I've got a disc for it. Um, But I can't seem to get the disk drive to connect with the Mac. The um, Microsoft Office, uh, it has a sticker on the side and it's um, Office Mac Home and Student 2008, English, made in USA. Um, it's got a long number. And uh this Blink says by Cisco phone support sheet or technical support came in this Microsoft Office for Mac. [silence]

And I've got install disk one and install disk two. But but I can't uh, I can't get the disk network to connect to the computer. so I'm just realizing that the uh, I'm just realizing that the uh, Go ahead. what were you asking?

Would that be downloading it from the turnette or getting. What? Okay. Yeah, as soon as I got you on the phone, I realized that this doesn't.

Speaker 2
They've you can actually like load a Microsoft using this or any driver but for now I think they do have a separate package already you actually need to download it you need to download the installer package so you can install it on your computer. I think you need to download it from the store and then like an Apple store or App store so you need to download and install it and then you just need to activate it by purchasing a license so you can use like an Excel or Word. I think it would be better if you call Apple support so they'll be able to assist you further.

It's not really a link sys problem I guess, but Microsoft Office. Okay, I'll do that. I've got the, I've purchased the package already, but it's not a, not a new package, but yeah, I'll, I'll call Apple support and see what, I, I would like to get the disk drive working, but if I can just download over the internet or the store, if I can download the Microsoft for Office for Mac, that, that would get me working with Excel anyway. Yeah, sorry to bother you. I appreciate your time though. All right, thank you and you do the same. Bye bye.
