Is wondering if you could give me ideas of which routers would work both with the Linksys and with Comcast Xfinity, whatever they want to call themselves.
02:00
Speaker 2
Okay. Just to verify, Commcast recommends you to upgrade the router or to upgrade the modem? Okay. Uh, our record here shows that you're using our Mx 4200 I'm talking to Carolina Adams, right? Okay. So, yup, since you have already our Wi-Fi six router, if they're asking you to upgrade your links, then I can recommend to you our Mx 6200. That's already having a Wi-Fi 6E, and it's compatible with your Mx 4200. It's backward compatible.
02:00
Speaker 1
Okay, hold on, hold on, because I, I wrote down the, the two that I thought I have. Um, and I have the serial numbers and everything. I, I have uh, the links with WRT54G and, and I also, I'm trying to figure out which one it was that I upgraded to uh and then the other one is a WHE03V2. But none of them sound like what you're talking about. No, no, no, no, no. This is all my devices. And this is just what I wrote down when I got them, but I'm afraid I didn't erase the one that, you know, that um, that is the one that um, was before. [silence]
03:00
Speaker 2
so what was going to happen is you were going to Oh, okay. Okay. Okay, so this is not your device then. The WRT 54G, that's our um-hum.
03:00
Speaker 1
really? Uh oh, you're right. It's an MX4200 V2. Is that what you said? Okay. Okay, so now we can talk. Okay. So, now, before, Comcast has always had me have a modem, a power, um, but that's why I called you is the fact that, um, I'm hoping that you can give me an idea of what will work with the the mesh system that I have.
04:00
Speaker 2
You can check your actual router now, the model number underneath. Uh-huh. Okay. MX-3200. Uh-huh. Yeah. So, uh, why did Comcast, by the way, recommend you to upgrade your device? Is it like you're already having connect
04:00
Speaker 1
No, the only thing I'm having problems with is that I'm paying for a, you know, a reasonably high Wi-Fi system, you know, for power. And it has gotten down to the point where it gets really low to the point where things don't come up, and it actually signs me out because it's taking too long to get to that website. And so when I complained a couple of times to them, the second time they said, well, you ought to just get a new router, but I think they wanted me to get a new router of theirs.
05:00
Speaker 2
If ever they will provide you their own router, our links is MX 4200 is not compatible to it. Like it will not act as an extender.
05:00
Speaker 1
That's why I call you. Yeah, so, moving that will work with Comcast will work with your mess system? That I have. Pause Well, that sounds like something, yeah that sounds like something that Comcast would do is you getting only their products cause that's what you're saying, right? No idea. Okay, well. Well, one thing is that I had started looking four.
06:00
Speaker 2
I'm not sure if they have also a mesh device from Comcast, which can extend the internet. As far as I know, they only have a router, like just a single stagnant router, and you need to have a third party extender, which will be compatible to the router. I'm not just sure. You can ask a Comcast what will be the best option then. So I think you mentioned that when you try to
07:00
Speaker 1
to them. Well, actually, no, I guess it was after. I talked to them. and there is a router that says that it works with, um, uh, with, you know, the the new. I mean, that it works with Comcast and them. Um, and I have it here somewhere. I'm looking in my pictures. Um, because I actually did look at it, but it's not coming up. Um, by Arris, which is what I have now. And it worked fine with your with the links, which I don't have any problems. Um, so do do usually the Arris products work with the links mesh system that and I just upgrade that router. [silence] Uh, I have a desktop computer, is that what you're saying? [silence]
08:00
Speaker 2
Yeah, and, all right. And if you asked my suggestion, I'd rather keep Linques because if you have the Comcast router, that only means this three Linques mesh that you have will be configured as like a separate network, which your devices will be confused to which one to connect from the Comcast router or from our Linques device. Um, do you have a computer that can be hardwired, Carolyn? Because that will help you to identify, [ silence ] correct.
09:00
Speaker 1
uh huh well i'm trying to trade down because i i trust them absolutely no i don't trust them uh they have lied to me too many times um over and over and over get tired of it but we really don't yeah there's nobody else here that has um any you know has better a better option to give to me so that's why i'm kind of stuck yeah
10:00
Speaker 2
Slow internet. You can actually bypass our linksys and connect directly to the Comcast modem. And if you notice that the internet is really slow from their end, then what, uh, it's, it has something to do with their connection actually. Instead of replacing your linksys with their router, they should fix the, uh, speed that they are providing you. Like, if that's, um, that's why you wanted to confirm it from us. Uh-huh.
10:00
Speaker 1
so I'm calling you to see if there's something I can do to make it better. So how do how do I test this to see if them or, because I don't think it's you guys. I honestly, I I didn't mean to employ that, you know, if I did, because I think you guys are fine. Um, I just wanted something, I'm willing to get a new router. I just wanted it to, um, work with the mesh system. So are the newer routers, do they work with your mesh system, the one I have, which I can't seem to find? Oh. So everybody's going to where you have to not second.
11:00
Speaker 2
uh huh uh huh uh huh uh huh oh I think uh uh no right if uh zero or TP linked or uh huh uh huh going to get her
11:00
Speaker 1
Okay, so. Okay. Okay, so what you're suggesting is that there's some way for me to test to see if the router is still in good shape? Is that what I understood you? Okay. Yes.
12:00
Speaker 2
For our Linksys, Colleen, it's only when it comes to compatibility, it's really restricted only on Linksys Mesh, as well. Aero, Google, Tplink, any other brands will not work when it comes to the mesh capability of your Linksys device. If you're gonna have a different brand, then our Linksys cannot extend the signal from that separate router. You can identify it. Since you have desktop computer, whenever you observe that the internet is not working fine, you can use just bypass our or your
12:00
Speaker 1
Is that correct? Yes, I can um, okay, see this is where I'm having the problem is that I keep I'm when I'm on my cell phone, I lose connection if I move my my phone at all. I even went and got a brand new phone and I'm still having that same. So it's not the phone. That's why I'm trying to trace down what's causing this problem. Um. Yes, it kind of comes and goes particularly if I move it even six inches. So I I moved over closer to my desk so I could grab the link parent box. Uh, and so that's when I lost you. And yet it was fine before. But I actually only.
14:00
Speaker 2
Okay. Um, can you hear me? Uh, sorry. I did not hear what you asked. Can you slow down? It's not only the phone that is having a connectivity issue. How about other devices?
14:00
Speaker 1
Did it maybe eight inches? And like I said, it's a brand new phone, so it's not, it shouldn't be the phone. It's, um, because the other phone was doing the exact same thing. And I thought it was the phone. Um, but it's, what I'm coming to conclusion, it's the, the wifi. Pardon? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. It's very, it's good. It's fine. Yeah, I, I, I don't think it's you guys. I, I really don't. Um, So I'm not sure. Oh, that's a good question. Why don't we check that? Okay.
15:00
Speaker 2
Yeah. Okay. Your linksys now is it still solid blue on top? Your linksys main node, is it still solid blue? On top? Okay. Mm-hmm. Which... But your phone, Carrie Lyn, is it connected to linksys Wi-Fi? You can go to the settings of your phone and tap Wi-Fi.
15:00
Speaker 1
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] Oh, well then it's attached to, yeah, you're right. It's attached to the Wi-Fi that I'm getting from Xfinity. I don't know how to do that. I'll go. Okay. Okay, hold on. Let me. Okay, so other, okay, so there's other networks available, is that what you're talking about? Now, I live in a, I live in a small condo, so what I'm seeing is everybody's else's, the other three owners, I'm seeing.
16:00
Speaker 2
uh, so it's them then, if that's the case. It's their connection. How about on Linksys? Can you connect it to Linksys Wi-Fi instead? Can you see your Wi-Fi? Uh, just check the Wi-Fi list since you're already under the settings. Stop Wi-Fi or wireless connection. Yeah, the uh, you know,
16:00
Speaker 1
their Wi-Fi connect... In there, their Wi-Fi networks. Well, that's where... Okay. I'm That's a good question. How would I find that when I look on my phone? I come up with what I have from Xfinity cuz it's pirate guest five. But I also have pirate guest. So, those are mine, but those are from Xfinity. So I don't know how to get to something where it's just my mesh and I don't pay you for Wi-Fi.
17:00
Speaker 2
What's your Wifier ling this? What's your Wifier Litter? That you created for amazing. OK. So, you don't. Yeah, we're just helping the Wifier to broadcast. [silence]
17:00
Speaker 1
yes right that well to the other rooms is mostly it does it for whatever reason it's a small place that I have but for whatever reason the particularly the very back bedroom uh is you don't get anything back there and I've had all kinds of come out and gone no this place is way too small for you to have to have a mesh system and then after they spend an hour and a half here they go you know the mesh system is working I diet laughing and that at least three times so um So the what I'm pretty sure when I'm paying for wi-fi is the Xecten I don't pay you for wi-fi.
18:00
Speaker 2
To all of your devices. Yeah. [silence] Uh-huh.
18:00
Speaker 1
And that's coming from a pretty gray cable. Correct. No, I have three. I have the parent and two kids. Well, let me go back to my, where I wrote everything about you. Um, uh, cuz I tried to understand, because like I said, I kept getting all these people that told me, um, well, I think all my notes are out of order, cuz they're all with different models of your system. Um,
19:00
Speaker 2
We can because you have there three linksys devices in total, right, or just one? Okay, but then uh currently you don't know what's the WiFi name for your linksys. Um, it's mixed.
19:00
Speaker 1
Because I don't have written down that one that's on the mother here. As I understand it the Linksys system gets it from the Anker's router. Does that answer your question? Right. Well, that's what I'm probably 99% sure is occurring and I'm trying to get that fixed. But I want something that works go with your Linksys system. So is there any router other than
20:00
Speaker 2
mhm. whatever signal they're giving our links this will also broadcast if ever their connection is dropping our link will also drop mhm. mhm. Mhm. Mhm.
20:00
Speaker 1
even initially in a linksys router which you said wouldn't go with with Comcast is there any router that does work with your system that goes with Comcast?[silence] even an updated Aerus which is A-R-C-U-D?[silence] Okay. Oh all right so I got you. So the aeris that I have is both a router and a modem and there was one that said an Aeris router router modem that said it is compatible
21:00
Speaker 2
none there's none though it's compatible, but when it comes to extending the signal, it's it cannot. Sines it's a separate router, a different model number router. Yeah, but if it's modem gateway modem, it's fine. But for a separate router, it cannot. It will work, but again, it will have its own Wi-Fi.
21:00
Speaker 1
and is an upgrade for the Xfinity Comcast system. So, that's what I was asking. So, when I say it's just a router, it's not. It's a router and a modem, which is what I have now. And then that goes to your Linksys. Okay, I didn't realize that was important. Sorry, that is my fault. But the one I have right now has both, has router and modem. The one that I looked at to maybe upgrade to would also be a Verizon router modem. Correct.
22:00
Speaker 2
Mhm. Okay. Okay, that clears it then. It's a game, that's the reason. And the rest of your extended air are solid blue correct? The rest of the extendo
22:00
Speaker 1
Well, one of them, the pet sitter that I had has unplugged it. So I'm going to have to plug it back in. But the other, the parent and one of the kids is working. I don't know why. The pet sitters, every time they come, I think they don't know what it is and they unplug it. I've told them what it is. Hmm? [silence] Okay.
23:00
Speaker 2
Okay. Okay. Okay, okay. So right now moving forward, since your phone is connected to comcast, that means, their connection is not that steady but, uh, if you're far from comcast, actually, it's normal, it will drop, since your phone is not connected to the mesh extender. If it's connected to the mesh extender's Wi-Fi, your phone will have seamless connection to all areas of your apartment. So it's better, Caroling, if you know what's the wi-fi name you created for linksys. If you're not sure, you can word hard fifteen minutes max, okay? [silence] Thank
23:00
Speaker 1
Of course. Okay, I found two that supposedly work.
28:00
Speaker 2
Hi. Thank you so much for on the line, Caroline. Can you hear me Okay. So, yep. [silence]
28:00
Speaker 2
Mhm. I see. All right right. So, I as of now do you want to know what's your Linksys Wi-Fi? We need to using your computer, we can check that. Just pull up a browser on your computer. Any browser will do. And then, on your address, browser, open a window, and then in the address bar, type this address. 192.168.1.1 Just type that, but make sure when you're typing that you're spelled correctly like I am, and also include the dot afterwards. Type in enter, and you'll wait a little bit for a new window to open up. [silence] Hopefully you'll bring up a window that asks for your default username and password. Every router is different. But for most Linksys, it should be admin, admin. And then here, you'll always be metastice. [silence] And then I'll probably ping you back and say that you logged into your account. But it'll be grayed out, so you can't write. [silence]
29:00
Speaker 1
Google they really are too nosy. Okay. Let's just put them. Okay. This is on the address bar. Okay. So, what is it? Okay, okay. Yeah, administrative, I saw that. Yeah. Okay, download the linkssus app for setup. Okay. All right.
30:00
Speaker 2
So you can type there the numbers on the address bar, type 192. Yes, the URL bar. It's 192.168.1.1, That's it. Just press enter. Okay, click the picture of the phone. Expand your Wi-Fi. Click the image of the phone and then it will route you to route.
30:00
Speaker 1
Oh. My. Router. Oh, for the links of... or for... Okay. Yeah, I, yeah, I have everything in a password manager. So, I should be able to do that. Oh, I've also got it in my address book too. Maybe we could do one of those two. Okay. I have under links is, I've got links. Um, and then I also have links to remote management. Under passwords. So, I'm going into...
31:00
Speaker 2
"I think about the... Common root of password. It's admin if you did not change the router password about. Your router password. Yes. Can you still remember your router password? [silence] Okay, you can try admin all small letters. That's our default password actually, A-D-M-I-N."
31:00
Speaker 1
[silence] uh, you're right, it says Lynx's smart wifi does not support your browser, install the Lynx'-- the Lynx'-- the smart wifi app for iOS to continue. Yeah, but I'm-- Well, what I was using was my, um, we may have to go to Google. Um, I was-- my phone and get to my password manager. And then I was looking under-- This is-- Um, I may have to go to Google. Can we go to Google? [silence]
32:00
Speaker 2
You can try that. Are you using your phone right now? Or the desktop? Okay.
32:00
Speaker 1
Can we try that? Okay, because Google has, hate to say it, they're the only ones that I can seemingly keep my password manager in. It drives me crazy, but it occurs. Okay, so now let's go to Linksys. Okay. I don't know why it's not just letting me view my Linksys system so that I can see everything like I could in my book.
33:00
Speaker 2
noah Google yes we can try Google okay so connect or open a browser and same thing we need to access 192 . 168 . 1.
33:00
Speaker 1
Okay, I think we got it. Okay, so now let's go to links. Let me do. It's not letting me do what both all of them let me do, which is just simply look at what the, there we go. Look at what the password is. Okay. Now we have the password for. All right, so we probably can go back to the other one. Um, to desktop if I can still get into. okay. uh, all right. That gave me all kinds of information. All right. So, where do you want me? Do you want me in Google or do you want me in, in, um, okay. Do you want me in, in Google or in, uh, what's the other one? Edge. Cause I'm, I had to figure out I have the Wi-Fi password for your system, the login system. Is that what you wanted? Okay.
34:00
Speaker 2
[KEEP_UNCERTAIN] Okay. Wi-Fi settings. Are you now logging to link to Linksys Smart Wi-Fi tools? Yes. Well, it depends. Actually, it depends. We don't have any record here because of security. We don't have remote access. [silence]
35:00
Speaker 1
[DOWNWEIGHT] Okay, so you needed me to have a password and I was trying to find it on my password manager and I just thought I had. This is to get to the Linux system. [silence] Well, I it came to where I had to have the password. I have a Aarons, no that's Ares. [silence] Um, I have the password for the Lynx router. Um, it says the developedsetUSB 591. And I have that and I have the recovery key. So I don't know what I'm trying to find. I I have lots of and I have a password for Linux.
36:00
Speaker 2
if you forgot the router password, did admin work or it did not? A D M I N all small letters.
36:00
Speaker 1
So what do I need? I even have, no that's the ERIS user, I have the password the key number for for for that. So what password would it have had me put in for administrative? Are you there? Hello? Okay, um,
37:00
Speaker 2
umm re, yeah, did you type in already
37:00
Speaker 1
I, okay, I can go back to that same place that you had me go to. Okay? And it says, and then I click on that phone. Now I'm, it says access router and it says router password. So what I'm asking is, I'm into my password manager. I have all kinds of passwords. Password. I haven't tried anything. Okay. But what router am I trying to get a hold of? Is it a Linksys? Is it Okay. So I have a Linksys router. I have a Linksys password. So can I put that in?
38:00
Speaker 2
Mm-hm. Mm-hm. Yeah. Yeah. See, since you don't know which is which, it might lock you out if you keep trying a different password. You can click there, reset instead. Links this. Yes. [silence]
38:00
Speaker 1
Okay, that's one that you guys had me come up with. It doesn't look like it's gonna let me show making sure that I typed it right. Okay, let me make sure I typed it right. Oh, it is gonna let me see it. Well, it said it was gonna let me see it. Okay. Well, okay. Now I have one invalid, but it could have been that I didn't type it right. But let's try it one more time and then we'll see. um, and then that's the only one I have okay [ silence ] no it just says invalid router password and that's for linksys pardon no it doesn't work it's too it because that's what was in my password man my password manager for linksys.com
39:00
Speaker 2
The password you're you're entered. Did it Dig it work? Did the password that you entered a while ago, Dig it work or not? Then have it reset. Don't worry, Carolyn, resetting the router password will not update your main wi-fi password. You're just updating the login password of the router.
40:00
Speaker 1
Right. That's what I put in. [silence] And the other thing that I have on here is the user, the Ares, A R E S, administrator username key and [silence] the Ares Wi-Fi pass key. [silence] I have those two on the same, the same information. But they're Ares. They're not, [silence] I have, okay, I have Linksys router name, but it's the Ve
41:00
Speaker 2
Dutta for the account.
41:00
Speaker 1
Develop setup 591 and there is a password for it, which is different than what I put in. There's also a recovery key. but that's not the current link. This router name, is it? The OLP setup 591. [silence] [silence] Are you there? Oh, I found the [ link ] is router password.
42:00
Speaker 2
It will prompt you to a page asking you the WiFi name and password. I'm not sure what router or password you need to enter.
43:00
Speaker 1
well I found it I found the linksys router password want me put that in okay Ah and written in there ah mine is No. still the same thing
44:00
Speaker 2
Thank you for your. Okay. Fantastic.
44:00
Speaker 1
no. No, I even tried another one. I tried the actual wi-fi router password. That's not it either. No. Whoa. Um, reset password. Okay.
45:00
Speaker 2
How was it? Didn't work. Okay, click reset instead. Click reset below. [silence]
46:00
Speaker 1
Oh, the recovery, yeah, okay. It is. It's five digits. Okay. Okay. So this, they want administrative password. Okay. This is for you guys, right? So I have a password here written down that was in that. [silence]
47:00
Speaker 2
Five for a character that's on the sticker underneath the main of your device five down to no creating a new one must have 10 characters or more, there must be a capital letter, and a special symbol. Those are the requirements.
47:00
Speaker 1
Well, I'm working on it. Okay. At least ten. Is it ten? Yeah, it's ten. It has a number. [silence] It keeps saying your password must have at
48:00
Speaker 2
How was that? click ready thing you want? Create any password for router as long as it will meet the requirement. The should be no difference that I.
48:00
Speaker 1
least 10 characters upper and lower. This one doesn't have an upper and lower, I guess that's the difference. Okay, so hold on. Can't because I don't see anything else. It's got a number. It's got everything else. Oh, what an special character. Okay, it has to have a special character. Okay. All right. So I can type this down and they can... Yeah, I got that. Okay, reset. Now it's happy. Okay, so it says it gives up all kinds of...
49:00
Speaker 2
it's that recovery key man that's caroline it's the recovery key okay emergency recovery key like dollar sign or number sign uh-huh uh-huh
49:00
Speaker 1
Information. There's a whole bunch. It says it's connected. This device, the router, and the internet. But where do we want to go? No, I didn't Yeah Okay Correct. Yeah, okay.
50:00
Speaker 2
okay, so you're still stuck to creating a new router password, are you still in that part okay, you're already logged in check wifi settings that's on the left side the wifi settings and then you will see there your wifi name for 2.4 and 5 does it okay, and that's where your phone is connected to now. okay, that means you're still connected to the linksys wifi. Let's check if child modes are broadcasting too. Just click details. uh click okay under
50:00
Speaker 1
Okay, so updates were available. What- where am I looking on this? I'm under basics, doesn't see that. I I have-
51:00
Speaker 2
settings. Click OK under wireless settings and go instead to connectivity tab. Under the wireless settings, there's details. Basic on the right side details. [ silence]
51:00
Speaker 1
basic internet settings, local network, advanced routing, and administrative. yeah. see the, the firm update. there's no. I see okay, cancel and apply. okay. all the the devices. no. I'm going to go on to look at... [silence]
52:00
Speaker 2
It's under basic on the lower right side. You'll see their firmware and their details. It's really small, so it's understandable. Can you see all three? Ah, two only. Under details, it will be listed there all your extenders, including the main one. Okay. Not devices, but the nodes. I'm referring to links as nodes. If it's up and running, it will, it will be listed there under details. You mentioned the other one is not turned on, so they're endorsed infrequent. Endorsed.
52:00
Speaker 1
I don't see anything about the nodes. Well, this says, but activity, party. Oh, I think we're off in a whole different direction. Uh, I think we're off in a whole different direction. Hey. I, let me move this over. Let me move this over. And it won't move. Uh, it's go back. Okay, so I went to connectivity, is where went. Connectivity. Where you can view and. Okay, so I went to connectivity, is where went. Connectivity. Where you can view and. change.
53:00
Speaker 2
[silence] There must be two nodes there on the list. [silence] You click details. [silence] Did you click details under [silence] connectivity, basic, [silence] right side there's [silence] details that you can click. [silence] That's right. [silence] Under connectivity, basic, [silence] there's, [silence] on the right side there's [silence] firmware update. [silence] You need to click the word [silence] there details, [silence] It's Right.
53:00
Speaker 1
Oh, okay. All right. Gotcha. Okay. So it says, Linksys update available on both of those. There's two that are showing. Okay. Uh, causing both, it says causing all devices connected to the router to lose their connectivity to the internet. It will, after it does that. Okay. Should I go connect up that, that babe that's in the back that's just sitting there wrapped up 'cause they didn't know what to do with it, evidently? Shall I do that now? Yeah, I do, 'cause-- Okay, so we'll just-- No, I didn't do, I didn't say yes. I'm asking you a question as to whether I need to bring in that baby before [silence].
54:00
Speaker 2

Speaker 1
is that other baby that's sitting there unplugged? I'm sure it's working. It was working when I left to go on vacation. Yeah, they, for whatever reason, they don't know what it is. Theye forget what I told them and they unplug it and I just haven't taken the time to plug it back in because I had a whole lot of other things to do. Um, But should I do that now to make sure I get everything updated? Yeah. It's the same - it's the same ones. I mean, it goes to the big parent, the big white parent, and it's the two babes and they've been fine. They just don't know what they are. Okay, so I'll plug it in. Okay.
55:00
Speaker 2
It's already out of warranty but let me just uh I will just can help you for that one. Okay, so you just need to turn it on then. Just you just need to turn it on. Not necessary if it's already a hassle uh node. Is it the same is that the WHW03. Okay, you can turn it on then. Uh huh. How [silence] he's doing. [silence] eh-he?

58:00
Speaker 2
Just focus on the details. So for now, it's a blinking blue.
58:00
Speaker 1
Well, there wasn't anything wrong with it when I left. So I assumed it's still flashing red. Okay, thank you. But I travel a lot and so Oh, there we go. Now it's green. So I should put a sign on it that says, don't touch. Okay. All right. So now click on the yes, update the firmware.
59:00
Speaker 2
Is it still flashing? Let's wait for one minute more. or green. Okay, so you can go back to your computer now and then reload details, not yet, just reload the page first, remember you turned on the last one. So to make sure you must still the power button, switch the power. Okay, good, so the page will reload again in sixty seconds.
59:00
Speaker 1
Oh, I see. Okay, hold on. I don't know how to get out of where I am. I can say no. It says, do you want to continue? So I want to say no, right? Okay, so it hasn't showed up that no, that's what we're looking for, right? I'm under firmware update under connectivity and basic. Okay. Okay, now the nods gone to green kind of a greenish blue. It's trying to turn blue, I think. So now it's more blue than green.

Speaker 2
We're studying. You're under connectivity again or you closed the links, this page. Okay. just don't close that page. Later on you will see router not found. So just click your Wi-Fi. Later on.
60:00
Speaker 1

61:00
Speaker 2
Okay, make sure whatever password you'll create in the first one, second will also have the same. we have to wait by the way until the firmware update completes later on. Can you see all three now on the list under details?
61:00
Speaker 1
[DOWNWEIGHT] the, the, the, keyboard, refresh, is that what you're talking about, okay, I don't know where that, where where is that, Yeah, do that, um, honestly, I don't, I, I, I don't. Okay. Okay. Just click on the R on the keyboard.

62:00
Speaker 1
Okay. Oh, okay. Well, I didn't know that. That's something we learn all the time, right? I know people are... Right now, none of them are listed. No? Um, yeah. I don't know where I am. Ugh,
63:00
Speaker 2
... it just windows i mean control R after go back to details and then check if it's listed there now under all three details
63:00
Speaker 1
Oh, I thought this was going to be easy. I'm certainly glad you're helping me out with it, because it's not easy. I did. I don't know where I'm I think it's trying to reset a new password. Submit. Um Yeah, I tried putting in the one that we just did and it looks like it's trying to set a whole new one. I can add something to it to get a [silence]

65:00
Speaker 2
Try it. If not, then let's have it reset one more time. If you really need to log in back to do the update, that's the only thing that we need to do and that will help your connection, Carolyn. So once the update is done, your links they should be good to go. [silence] Just let me know what is the problem in there so that we can finish this as soon as possible.
65:00
Speaker 1
[silence] no updates are available, but it doesn't list down. okay. Okay, and then it says, do you want to continue? But it's still not showing. Okay. Okay, so it's downloading firmware. And and this little note looks okay. Yep, I see it. Okay.

Once the progress bar is full, click on okay. For the Router will reboot message. Once the progress bar is full, a router will reboot message will appear and it will take a minute or two before it will completely update the firmware. Okay. You're doing a great job.
66:00
Speaker 1

68:00
Speaker 2

68:00
Speaker 1

69:00
Speaker 1

Speaker 2
How is it? Is it still loading? [ silence ] Okay, check your wifi uh I mean, since this desktop is hardwired. So, we don't need to reconnect it back to the wifi. We'll just wait for that update then. [ silence ] And try to the links is main node, is it already steady blue? [ silence ]
71:00
Speaker 1
No, actually, it just turned red. Oh, no, now it's green. Okay, now it's green. I mean, it was red before, but is still doing the waiting and the circling with the dots. And then, when it hits each dot, it it becomes not dark blue, but like a, bright blue. And it's doing that over and over and over again. And it says "waiting." Um and the but the the parent is is a dark blue. I mean, it's a regular blue that it always is. The program is complete. So, okay? Yeah, 18.

Yes, I like that. Okay, and so I didn't know you could turn off the node light from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. um I prefer it on personally. Okay, so just let's go into network to talk about how to up.

80:00
Speaker 2
[silence] If ever they need to upgrade, then it's better if they can switch to LinksSys. If there is a need for them to upgrade if their Starlink routers are already outdated or out of warranty. So you can inform them to have LinksSys mesh instead.
80:00
Speaker 1
I thought, well, I don't want to butt in cuz these were nice enough people to be putting me up. But I when my grandson said, yeah, well, they need a mesh system and he's here in the US. And so I kind of wanted to check with somebody, but I hadn't thought about it. So I got you on the phone. Um, so they just should probably get the mesh system if they want to continue with the Starlink. Do you handle Australian? Okay. Okay. Well, that's what I also needed to know. Um, because one of them has been here to the United States and I said, well, you know, I have a mesh system, even my little bitty place and it works great.
